Stayed for 2 days. Room very comfortable & well fitted. Appreciated the extras of complimentary sherry, shortbread biscuits & After 8 mints. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Full English one day & the smoked haddock with poached eggs the next. Compliments to Christian on the poached eggs. The only problem is that it is becoming too popular & I...

We spent two nights here whilst attending a function in Manchester - it was our third return visit. Everything was perfect as mentioned in the other reviews, Ash Farm is a real find and so convenient in its location for many things in the area. We ate both nights at The Swan with Two Nicks (next door) which was also...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and was not disappointed. A warm welcome from David on arrival. A lovely room with a very large bed and ensuite which was spotlessly clean. Good quality food served at breakfast and plenty of choice on the menu. Great location for visiting Dunham Massey House, garden and Park and Lymm. We ate...

We spent the weekend here whilst we attended a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was enormous! The only thing we didn't find to our liking was the pillows, which were very hard and lumpy. The area itself is lovely, with lots of walking and close proximity to three National Trust properties...

Incredible value for money. Lovely food cooked to perefection, sherry in the room with great selection of tea and coffee. Huge beds and high specification bathroom. Lovely people and wonderful location. Be sure to walk to see the deer over the bridge. To think all this for less than the premier inn in town!

Many thanks to Dave, Janice and Christian for welcoming us so courteously and kindly, providing every comfort we could imagine: real coffee and a cafetière and teapot in our room, a dainty carafe of sherry and pretty glasses, immaculate en suite room, a seven-foot bed, made a few years ago by Dave himself, in order to accomodate discerning Americans who...

What a find, the rooms are lovely the hotel is near enough to the airport to make it sensible to use rather than staying at on site hotel, this is homely rather than feeling like a high turnover of transient travellers, the welcome was lovely despite us arriving late at night, the room was clean and very well stocked in...

Wish we had arrived much earlier in the day to fully enjoy the walking trails and manor house nearby. FABULOUS breakfast! (Be careful if you order a la carte -- you may get enough to feed a small army). Next time we fly to Manchester from the U.S., we'll plan to head here first for a good rest and meal....

A lovely, rural retreat with very comfortable rooms, welcoming hosts and plenty of thoughtful touches. The complimentary decanter of sherry in our room got things off to a flying start! Even though the accommodation was country house style, the bathroom was modern and well equipped. There was a very cosy guest lounge with a log burner to relax in as...

This is fully deserving of its previous high guest ratings! The peace (only hear birds), luxurious rooms and excellent breakfast combined to ensure we will return. Our room has a very large bed - 50% bigger than our own king size at home and was sooooo comfortable.
