On arrival this hotel appeared tired and a little grubby. My room was adequate although furniture was "distressed" and the tv was from the 70s! The bathroom looked clean on initial inspection but in the morning when I unfolded the rubber bath mat I discovered the underside of this was coated with thick, slimy mold. Not wishing to slip whilst...

We were flying from Manchester Airport early morning on a long haul flight and we're working until 6pm the day before. We were going to drive down and drop the car at the car park and just go to check in but decided last minute to book a hotel and get even 5/6 hours sleep. We paid £50 for room...

I'd rather pay double what we paid here to get a hotel room where you weren't afraid to walk on the carpet in your bare feet due to whatever disease you might contract. The decor is absolutely the very worst that I've ever seen in a hotel, peeling dirty wallpaper, filthy paintwork. My wife wouldn't sit on the dressing table...

The room itself wasn't too bad, clean enough i suppose. Upon waking up wanting a hearty breakfast before a long day travelling to Turkey, cornflakes and toast is not what I had expected. I paid £15 for 2 full english breakfasts online, but was greeted by a very informative old lady telling me, chef hadn't come into work, but I...

Booked a room here because we had an early flight from Manchester and it advertised free parking for the duration of the holiday. The parking is actually at its sister hotel the Britannia Airport Inn which looks a much better standard of hotel. The place is tucked away behind some shops and looks like a pre-fab block of flats. Inside,...

Stayed here due to an early morning flight... was a bit unsure due to reviews but the price and complimentary taxi fayre was worth it to get our head down for a couple of hours... yes it severely needs modernising the cleanliness of the corridors and the floors in the rooms needs attention... The TV is like something from the...

Me and my partner had an early flight from Manchester airport and as we're from Birmingham decided to stay overnight the night before. This was the cheapest option so booked it, but for £58 we feel ripped off! The bed felt like lying on a piece of wood, someone had kicked the bathroom door so there was a big hole...

I booked this room for my son who was flying early from Manchester airport the following morning. A late flight decision so hotel spaces were limited on web. On arrival my husband helped with baggage into hotel where they had to wait for staff to appear some time later. On making way to room my husband had already made his...

Stayed one night prior to a conference in Manchester. Our second visit to the Britannia Ashley and it was adequate for our needs, located in the lovely part of Hale. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Britannia Hotels always sound grand but clearly need updating but this one is a little better than others we have stayed in bearing their brand...

Good deal with parking, but no food served in hotel and only one member of staff covering both bar and reception so not great service. Accommodation dated but ok for one night when paid little out! We had 3 beds in room, not bad size and beds comfy enough. Noise from window as not double glazed and located over park...
