What can I say we booked this hotel before checking the reviews and after checking them I really wasn't looking forward to staying here. It's an old building so is quite quirky we stayed in a family room which has a single and double bed and a bathroom with a bath no shower. The room was dated and could do...

We were so well looked after for our 3 nights stay, staff could not have been more helpful, moving our luggage for us, and making sure we had everything we needed. the rooms were comfortable, and considering the building was 400 years old there was enough space in our double room. the breakfast ladies were lovely as was the breakfast....

Not enough space here to give a full and honest review. This place should be shut down. DO NOT STAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. Freezing cold. Only 11 degrees C in my room all night. Mattress springs were horribly visible and did not allow sleep. Shower cool and weak. NO 24 hour reception (although advertised as having...

The welcome I received was very warm and the staff really were lovely. I was upgraded to a family room, which meant I had a bath and shower and a large bed. The breakfast was freshly cooked for me and was rather tasty. Unfortunately, the electricity cut out and the owner kindly invited the guests to sleep in another place....

This place is not as absolutely abhorrent as others may make it seem. It's far from good but you won't die after staying for one night! I stayed here merely out of convenience as it was 50 metres from a course venue early on a Friday morning! Unless it is for this reason I would not recommend staying here, the...

I always read reviews with a tinge of scepticism and feel that places can't be all that bad. (I've been to places where people have rated hotels poorly yet I thought they were great) In this case it's all true. The hotel is depressing, dusty, outdated, drab and dowdy. I feel that the whole place needs to be closed and...

Dreadful grubby place! We stayed here one night and thought we had walked into Bates Motel! The place stank, the carpets were filthy and sticky, the whole place needed a good overhaul and clean. There are no staff on the premises overnight and the security is woefully lacking. The only redeeming feature was that breakfast was ok. I honestly have...

Came here for a night, the room was absolutely boiling. When the door got opened I thought I was getting off a plane in Dubai, went into the bathroom, no shower just a plastic tub to wash your hair and there was still water in the bath with the plug in I'm guessing from the previous people in the room....

I stayed here with my family last night, myself and my mum in one room, my brother and step dad in another. Fair enough, we booked knowing it was not a five star hotel however, we were rather surprised how dirty it was (sticky carpet, mouldy bathroom ceiling, smelly corridors to mention a few). Despite this, we tried to make...

Do not stay, one of the most depressing places I've stayed since backpacking in India. The room was cramped, could not sit on the loo properly as the sink was in the way. No soap to wash with in the shower. Very noisy, walls made off paper and desperately in need of an upgrade.
