A great hotel on the edge of Birmingham. Clean and very friendly and much better than what I have experienced with other chain hotels. The reception staff and breakfast team went out of their way to look after me, remembering all my requirements during my stay.
Premier Inn do exactly what they say on the tin! Pub adjacent average but the hotel is excellent. Bit out of Sutton Coldfield but the rooms are warm and so well sound insulated you sleep very soundly. Just bare in mind there are no baths now only showers.
On two stays last week had two different rooms. One fine, the other very cold.Continental breakfast is very poor value unless you eat like a horse or have kids who eat free with you.Dinner is fine if you like chips and greasy food and don't like fresh vegetables
Stayed at this b an b 9th til 10th feb. Day before arrival we had a phonecall to see if we had any preferences or requests. Upon arrival we were greeted by debbie an jo (i think it was debbie definately jo.) They gave me info on places to go in the area as we were meant to watch…
Firstly the staff were polite and professional but it had very tired rooms( in need of a make-over) and way too cold - could not adjust heat settings and with a poor restaurant made this premier Inn we could not recommend.
"Be aware there is no lift."
"If you want breakfast make sure you pre-book it!!"
"Room 7 on the ground floor had the dodgy light switch"
"Our room was very comfortable. No lift for higher floors. Luggage has to be carried up."
"If you're given a room with dormer windows .. mind your head or ask for a different room!"
