We arrived here as part of a trek retracing the route taken by the Duke of Monmouth in 1685. This is a wonderful, 400 year old farmhouse being run, with adjacent buildings, as a very professional B&B. It was a joy to be greeted with home-made Lemon Drizzle cake with tea or coffee. Breakfast was equally good. In the evening...

Doreen and John are a warm and welcoming pair of hosts, who kindly gave us lifts to spare us the expense of taxis to Taunton (which can be expensive) The local area is very scenic and we only wish we could have spent more time there. The room and bed were comfortable and we had a great breakfast.

Comfortable accommodation in nicely converted farm building, annex to main farmhouse. Very reasonable price. Not terribly easy to find. Excellent breakfast in the family's cosy and traditional farmhouse kitchen/living/dining room. Lovely hosts.

Lower Farm is located quite close to the main road to Taunton which leads to supermarkets, the M5 and Taunton town centre. The farm house is a beautiful thatched building with old-world charm and contains guest rooms, while the outbuildings have been converted into modern apartments, retaining the integrity of the original stone buildings. We were greeted on arrival by...

My wife, daughter and I spent the weekend at Lower Farm with hosts Doreen and John (JT). It's a delightful setting, very rural and quiet but so convenient for Taunton (10 mins drive) and the M6 J 25. Low Farm is an idyllic thatched farmhouse in it own grounds. The accommodation is in the main farmhouse and also converted farm...

Found by random chance, and proved to be an idea location. Comfortable room, very welcoming owners, good night's sleep and an excellent breakfast in the morning. Only slight complaint was the fact that the wifi reception did not actually extend to the outbuildings with the rooms, but a small inconvenience.

Stayed for a couple of nights with Doreen and John and enjoyed it thoroughly. Right from the beautiful farm house, to the small but comfortable room, the breakfast and the overall ambience. The best part about this place is the lovely couple who spare no effort to make your stay comfortable. It feels like staying at a home away from...

Whilst the location was beautiful, the rooms spacious and the hosts (mostly) accommodating, the fixtures and fittings are dated (dicey bed, pre-historic kettle, carpet in the bathroom, eugh), the room needed a very good clean (extremely cobwebby and very dusty skirting boards, mucky marks around the edges of the carpet) and the breakfasts a little more generous (full English =...

We stayed for 4 nights at Lower Farm and left with a warm glow and half a dozen free range eggs. Following a period of illness, we were hoping for some rest and recooperation during our stay. After a warm greeting, we were shown our room, which was a decent size and had all the facilities we needed, including a...

Just spent a night at Lower Farm with my wife in a lovely King Size room with our daughter in another also generously proportioned room with good facilities. Beds very comfortable. Our hosts, Doreen and John, were so welcoming and helpful, we felt we had made friends, and they introduced everyone at breakfast (which was a treat). Top place to...
