We have stayed with Andrew at the Balmoral more times now than I can recall, and as always we received a very warm welcome, a very comfortable room and a genuinely superb breakfast. Andrew is a wonderful host and the family rooms in the cottage to the rear of the main building are spacious, well equipped and toasty warm in...

I stayed at Balmoral Guest House for business for just over a month and had a great experience there. The room was very bright and comfortable with lots of space. I was looked after from the moment I arrived and the hosts made sure I felt at home during my entire stay. They also offer a laundry service which is...

We have used the services of the Balmoral guest house on a number of occasions, and our latest trip over Christmas 2016 did not disappoint. We can not think of another place we would ever choose to stay. Andrew is a gentleman, who is thoughtful of his guests and accommodates us as we often arrive later in the evening. His...

Dropped into the Balmoral and I have to say how homely and impressive it is. The rooms are spacious and clean with a homely feel opposed to a standard hotel feel. Andrew cooks up a lovely breakfast, with fried bread, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 2 rashers of thick bacon. Prior to this there is a...

You couldn't fairly compare Balmoral Guest House to, say, the Savoy Hotel in London. For one thing, the Balmoral has a warmer welcome (I've stayed at both). I've stayed in dozens of B&Bs across the UK and the Balmoral is among the best. I was staying at an annexe at the back. A good sized room with a comfortable bed...

The proprietor Andrew has hit on a simple formula for success that other hotels and B&Bs could follow: just be nice to people and go that little bit further to make their stay enjoyable. From being picked up at the station (and taken back there when we left) to the clean rooms and lovely breakfast, it was all a pleasure...

Right from the first contact this has been on of these best if not the best personal customer experiences that I have ever had. From communications to extra big mugs and pick up from the railway station Patient and humour with my non pig setting... And being kind enough to cook the fresh lamb Algerian sausages for my sister and...

Everyone...
