Have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and each time I come away having had a good time. The nightly entertainment has always been very enjoyable with a mixture of types of entertainment. The staff have always been extremely polite and very helpful. They are very efficient. Whilst the decor of the hotel is a little tired it is... More

This hotel has a great location, ambience and our room (family 3bed) was a decent size although it was stifling hot, but we managed to prise open the balcony door so didn't affect us too much. The staff tried hard although seemed down trodden, like they were fighting a losing battle, also majorly understaffed in the restaurant. The entertainment was... More

Once again had another fab 4 day break with National Holidays. This time we chose to go to LLandudno, staying at the Grand Hotel and we weren't disappointed. A beautiful hotel we were given a nice room with a balcony over looking the sea, fantastic, it was dated but spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdrier, television and bath... The hotel was very nice and we were enjoying our short winter break until the day before we were due to leave. On returning to our room after a trip out I went to charge my mobile. I had left my charger plugged in beside my bed but my charger had been replaced with an old charger held together with... More

This is our second stay at The Grand. Stayed in November 2014 for the second time. Still impressed with the hotel facilities; the food; the friendliness and the entertainment. All catered for within the hotel. Prime location to climb The Orme; and to venture onto the beach or into llandudno. Cheap parking on the road outside the hotel, about £2.20... More

If a Holts local pub was mixed with a location from a Poirot episode, you'd get The Grand. Once opulent, there is a desperate need for a refurb. The residents are happy enough, generally having been winkled out of Butlins or an old folks home. Just picture 'Great Auntie Mabel's front room! Still, the staff are friendly and do their... More

Luckily enough, only spent 1 night in this hotel. Very disappointed with room itself, tiny and not very clean. Heating was constantly on a BOILING mode, and there was no way to turn it off. Wifi didn't work in either our room, or where breakfast was..... and breakfast.... that a whole different story. Dinning area was spit in 2, other... More

This was our second stay. Hotel half full so it was much better. How much you like this joint will depend on how much you paid for it and how high your expectations. The cheapest way to book is while you are staying there. There is no garden but the Grand opens onto the pier and the fabulous Great Orme.... More
