You'd think the one thing you could rely on in any basic lodgings would be to be able to sleep, not here! When we went to bed on our first of 2 nights here we discovered our 'double' room actually had a single bed in it. Too late to do anything about it by the time we went to bed...

Hotel fine but basic. In places a bit tired, but clean. New bathroom. Breakfast again basic, but fine. Reception not brilliant. PHOTO ID REQUIRED! Never been asked for this before as a UK national in a UK hotel! No directions given to the room, which was on the 3rd floor. Lift was not working. In a good location, right near...

Hotel with cheap rates that delivers nothing special. Pros - staff helpful and friendly. Good location close to pier and shops. Quiet, plenty of lobby seating and bar is in reception, so not far to walk for your first beer. Cons - wifi weak and patchy, and room was small. Lobby laid out like old peoples home. Lift was not...

If you're going to pay £40 for two people including breakfast you have to set your expectations correctly. If you do this, you'll find this place better than expected. If you're stupid enough to think you're going to get 5* service you'll be disappointed and rightly so. The rooms are fine. Ours was clean and the bed was comfy. The...

I am very surprisedbreading some reviews...maybe I have been unlucky? My room was not clean when I arrived and after my complaints they told me they would have clean it. I went out for an hour and when I came back the room was nearly in the same condition. Nightmare. I've never seen anything like that.

The chances are that it won't be working. Spent 4 days at this hotel and needed to help elderly (90+) guests up to the second floor when lift went out. One guest was required to carry oxygen at all times, but was also required to walk (or be helped) up stairs.. On the plus side, the food was very good,...

Stayed for one night with my wife and two friends in another room to see a show nearby. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms looked recently decorated and bathrooms upgraded to a very good standard, tea and coffee in room. Full breakfast and evening entertainment included in the reasonable price. We would stay here again when...

Four of us (two rooms) had a very enjoyable stay here in order to attend a concert at a local theatre. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, the room was more than adequate and lovely walk in shower. The added bonus was the singer who was still performing when we got back from the theatre and we were...

Stayed here for two nights as prices in Eastbourne were cheaper than Bexhill or Hastings. Reception staff were pleasant, lift was out of order. Our room was spacious and looked recently decorated, with a big bay window. Unfortunately the sash window was so draughty the curtains actually moved, so the room wasn't very warm, also there was a big chest...

My grandparents booked this hotel though a travel provider for coach trips. When they arrived their room was not cleaned and we're given a hot beverage while they waited. When they got to their room it seemed as the previous occupant had just left. Glasses were dirty, the bed wasn't made and carpets were grimy. When my grandfather complained they...
