We stay here quite often as my husband studies at the university. We have always found the staff brilliant and they always allow us to check in early as we travel down from the Midlands very early in the morning. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice.

We wanted to find somewhere convenient in Eastbourne whilst visiting from NZ. We found the Berkeley Guest house and it is reasonably priced and the owners are most charming. Our room containing a king size bed was spacious, well appointed and clean. Breakfast was cooked to our liking and most plentiful. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting who doesn't require...

We wanted somewhere near the tennis at Devonshire Park and this guesthouse could not have been closer. My 79 year old travelling companion has trouble with stairs so we requested one of our two rooms on the ground or first floor. Our rooms turned out to be up 5 and 7 flights of stairs, although there were rooms on ground...

This was quite a reasonably good guest house, but certainly not 4 or 5 star as suggested on some websites, I would say about 3 and a half. There is a comfortable bed and desk in the room, but not much room to manoeuvre when sitting at the desk. The furniture and decor quite nice. There were tea/cofee making facilities...

Very good value for money. Clean, well kept and friendly staff. Breakfast options were varied and catered for my partner who has a gluten free diet. Great location near the seafront and shopping centre. Also great location for walkers.

Check in was with Daniel and a pleasant experience. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The en-suite had toiletries and the towels were good quality. The shower worked well. The guest information book explained everything right down to the hot water takes a long time to come through in the mornings. The breakfast was extremely good. There was...

We were really pleased that we'd booked the family room at this place. We had a really warm and friendly welcome and our dog was able to stay with us. The family room consisted of 2 rooms plus en suite and was absolutely delightful and more than I had expected. To top it off, breakfast was delicious 😋 All in...

We stayed in the deluxe family suite last weekend, comprising of a spacious ensuite double with a separate children's bedroom. The kids absolutely loved their bunk beds, beanbag and TV and we loved the fact that we could stay up and chat once the ankle biters had gone to bed! So much better than the vast majority of family rooms...

Great location in Eastbourne - 2 mins from the sea, 1 min from theatres and 5 mins from town - all within walking distance. Friendly, welcoming staff - great breakfast including wonderful black pudding! Rooms are comfortable although a little tired in places - a little attention to detail needed. We were at the top of the house - lots...

What a wonderful stay we had at The Berkeley over Easter. I can only reiterate all the other positive reviews of the place. The hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming. the breakfast was lovely (especially the lorne sausage) and Dan and his team made it special. We chatted to Dan on both mornings and could have chatted all day, what...
