Upon arriving at the hotel we were very surprised at how lovely the hotel was. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and booking in was straightforward. Our room was quite small for a double but was adequate and was spotlessly clean. What we liked about the hotel is that the prices of drinks etc were very good which...

£59.99 for 2 overnight stay, dinner + breakfast(groupon). For the price we paid this was a excellent place to stay, with a nice size room and the usual room facilities, TV, kettle etc. The hotel is very luxurious and grand in size with lots of space to sit and relax in the reception area or bar. Dinner and breakfast was...

We love visiting Eastbourne as my husband was born there so we go several times a year. This was our 1st stay at The Cavendish Hotel and we found everything was perfect - we had a wonderful warm, clean, spacious room complete with toiletries, coffee, tea ,biscuits etc and a super sea view that included the Pier and Wish Tower....

Very impressed with such a large English Hotel remaining warm, clean and welcoming during early January. Staff were helpful and attentive. Good breakfast and bar meals. Room was a large twin. Clean functional and warm. Good for out of season. Car parking available. Thank you to the staff on duty.

I moved to Eastbourne for work for 18 months as a secondment and so we try to visit regularly to see friends and reminisce. We will always try and get in at the Cavendish as the location is great and the breakfast is amazing. The rooms are a bit hit and miss if you are in the newer section or...

Spent two nights here last week and was very impressed by the location, the magnificent dining room and the sense of space which harked back to an earlier age. I was surprised by comments from other reviewers about the staff . During our stay we found the staff friendly, courteous and well trained. We got a very good deal on the...

Good sized double room, comfy bed and nicely decorated. The room was very warm and had lots of storage. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and staff were friendly. The only negative was the air conditioning unit outside of our window was quite noisy in the early hours. Apart from that,...

great location, service is ok. Worth a visit, but don't pay over the odds for a room. Healthy breakfast in a nice setting. Staff could do with some client service training. Bedroom could have done with a paint!

There's a notable facade on the promenade with an imposing foyer and library with historical significance - so it's a shame that it's spoilt by an incongruous modern box of a reception desk. The dining room is also a grand affair - but as soon as you take the lift or stairs things deteriorate. A bedroom at the back of...
