Beautiful hotel situated on Eastbourne sea front. Staff very helpful and bedrooms were beautifully cleaned every day. We arrived at roughly 6pm, the poor receptionist was on her own and there was at least 20 people in the queue. Perhaps a back up receptionist is a good idea for when it gets busy for late arrivals? However the lady behind... More

Stayed here once, been into the bar and restaurant twice. Overall it's a nice place to go. The service is adequate although I feel that sometimes the service doesn't reflect the price. The food is of good quality and the bar reasonable. 8/10 overall.

The hotel seemed to have been recently refurbished. No porter to carry bags. Reception quite helpful in changing rooms - I eventually got a sea view. With my brother, we were only staying for one night. Dinner offered a fairly large menu of well cooked food. Good wine. The bedroom proved to be rather hot, but was ample size for... More

The staff are all nice and friendly, we had booked a suite for two adults and two children, master room had a double bed and a travel bed for the one child, the other room was the living room, that had another travel bed in it. The rooms in the suite (423) in general was clean and tidy. The decoration... More

very disappointed with the service I have received. Been a resident of Eastbourne my whole life and one evening decided to book a room at one of the dozens of hotels available. Service was so embarrassing I ended up building up a bar tab and leaving early not even staying the night. Only to find I had to pay for... More

Not a good experience, room was tired and rather grubby. Carpet was stained, wall paper peeling, skirting boards chipped and dirty, room was so overheated it was near unbearable even with the window wide open. The bathroom was Alright except the toilet seat was broken and a lot of the floor tiles were without grouting. Parking was available at £4.50... More

We had a one night stay at the Cavendish, the reception was very efficient and friendly as were the bar staff and room service. The hotel was quite splendid in parts but strangely utilitarian in other parts perhaps inline with a comfortable but slightly tired sea side hotel. The food was good although my seaside kipper for breakfast looked a... More

We returned to the Cavendish with some trepidation after hearing of the take over by Britannia Hotels. We were relieved to find that it is still as good as before.....spotlessly clean, excellent food and very polite staff. Well worth visiting again, great location-a short walk to the town, and lovely sea views from the restaurant.
