Booked a room with a sea view , got a side room instead and then was moved to a tiny room with the smallest window ever seen , staff not helpful , but did hint that it was not unusual to find all the rooms with a sea view booked.

Very poor service, staff rude and unwilling to help. I was allocated room 6, the room was stuffy, smelly, had no windows and ventilation. There was a fly in the room all night, fly couldn't escape was there was no window in the room. When I complained to the staff, her response was nonchalant. Wifi didn't work as room in...

Booked a large sea view twin room only to find a double!. They offered to change the bed arrangement but after a long drive we kept the double. Room was excellent and well equipped.Plenty of hot water. Disappointed that the empty shampoo and shower gel sachets weren't cleared from the bathroom. The lift was out of action for several hours,...

After reading some of the reviews my wife and I were a bit apprehensive about our one night stay. However we were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of the hotel. We had booked on a Groupon deal for one night, which included a bottle of wine, 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast. Reception and all the staff were very helpful...

I booked a budget room this visit, as I was visiting family and only wanted a "bed" for three nights. These new rooms have recently been converted from their old spa and contain no windows. You are informed of this on booking. The room looks very modern on entering, with a new bed. Flat screened tv. There was however no...

Impressive facade on the beach front at Eastbourne leads to a modern reception. Beyond that it's all dated and a tad shabby. The large dining room has damp patches on the end wall, the paintwork is grimy and scuffed and tired looking. I thought we had booked a sea view room but ended up in room 231 at the rear...

Yes - we bought a discount voucher! But - we certainly hadn't expected the afternoon tea to be so poor! The chairs in the conservatory were stained, the service was poor and the tea itself was dreadful! I had rung several days in advance to request a gluten-free tea for one guest. She received a stale hot cross bun and...

As I sit here staring at a burnt burger bun and brown lettuce, I scratch my head that somewhere with such views and potential could be so poor. It felt like my custom was more of an inconvenience to the staff! There's got to be better than this!! Someone help please.
