We stayed for one night in a superior room. The room was in need of some redecoration in places but was clean and very spacious - there were two tub chairs and a coffee table! The bed was comfortable, there was a well stocked refreshment tray and the shower was hot enough. Breakfast was very good and the young woman...

Stayed there after Christmas for 2 nights with my husband and our son. Was pleasantly surprised( for the price we have paid). Rooms are of a good size, breakfast was very tasty and the service was great. We forgot to take our son's cot and we've been given one within few minutes. Thanks for a great hospitality.

We stayed here for 2 nights over Christmas while visiting relatives. The room was very large as was the bed, and all very clean and comfortable. For the price it was good value. We didn't have the full breakfast as it was Christmas but it looked very nice. Scrambled eggs on Boxing day were lovely and fresh. Would definitely stay...

Booked quite late and caught last room available. It was facing the square so a side sea view and on quite a quiet road which was helpful. Each room contains some good modern art and I was delighted to find and read a book on Monet in the chest of drawers. Large flat screen TV and DVD player in the...

The hotel is in a pleasant area. My friend and I stayed in a twin room which was huge. The room was excellent. The breakfast was freshly cooked and we had a choice of items to make up a very full 'English'. Our stay set us up nicely for walking the Seven Sisters. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a comfortable and well seviced hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The art is absolutely not good, lots of cliched nudes and splashy abstracts. It doesnt seem to fit in to the category of good contemporary art or good traditional art. We allways enjoyed the breakfasts and the building itself is a charming 19th century house converted...

Stayed here for one night only and had a very good experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly and gave us very good advice on where to take good photographs. The breakfast was outstanding, the food was very fresh and cooked on order. Very well priced and would definitely stay here again when I come visit

+Really comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast - was able to get an earlier breakfast which I needed. Very near my conference venue and yet only a short walk to the sea. Near restaurants and shops.Useful to have an electric heater in the room for when the main heating went off. There is a lift which is a bit quirky but it...

As a group of 8 we stayed at the hotel whilst attending a conference at nearby Devonshire Park Complex (5 minutes walk). The town centre is 15 -20 minutes walk and the seafront just a couple of minutes away. The overall decor was dated and showing signs of wear and tear but nevertheless clean and functional. We stayed in a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The da Vinci is ideally situated in Howard Square just off the sea front and just around the corner from the Devonshire Theatre, the Congress Theatre, the Winter Gardens, The Birley Centre and Eastbourne's new arts centre. We are a short walk to the town's shops and a lot of excellent restaurants which we are happy to recommend. The da Vinci has 20 en-suite rooms which each feature a well known (and not so well known) artist. The rooms have all been refurbished and redecorated to a very high standard and each of the rooms is unique so that no two rooms are the same. On the ground floor is the hotel art gallery featuring original art work by local professional artists as well as a resident's lounge (with full licensed facilities), two breakfast rooms and a conference room (which you can hire). ... more   less
