Given that the resort is at a distance from Chewang, they've ensured it is extremely self sufficient - with two restaurants, massage spa, kids play area, tv room, business centre, library (critical for those heavy-rain days) and a large pool. The free transfers to Chewang and Nathon were great. (Return transfers aren't very convenient). The staff was extremely polite and...

A romantic tropical resort set amongst coconut plantations, on the beach, with gorgeous pools and little bridges. The staff are excellent and the food is very good. More railings are needed for older people to feel safe on stairs and bridges. A shuttle bus takes one to the nearest township (35 mins) for retail therapy, needed when it rains, as...

This resort is on the quiet side of the island. There isn't really much to do outside of the resort. The rooms and resort are beautiful but there isn't much to do if it's raining outside. Pros- Staff are great and reception were very helpful throughout our stay. The swimming pool and beach area are awesome. Spa was excellent but...

This is the second time we have stayed at Mai Samui (previously in 2012) and it was again a pleasant stay. The airport transfer service was good and the room was clean on check in, however there were some noticeable aspects of the hotel that have changed since 2012. There seemed to be a bit of maintenance occurring during our...

This beautifully presented resort has great potential. However it is in a very isolated area with limited entertainment on offer. The shuttle bus only drops off and picks up at one location and the resort private car is very expensive. We have stayed at similar resorts in Thailand which offer multiple free activities each day such as cooking classes, yoga,...

We had a great stay at Mai Samui. They staff were all wonderful, particularly Tsa Tsa and Sunam and we really enjoyed the quiet location on the island, although that might not suit everyone. Facilities were lovely and food beautifully presented, particularly in the Thai pub/restaurant. We also enjoyed the morning yoga classes as well as the kayaking which were...
