We spent 2 nights staying in the Mawar Suite at lost paradise resort. The reception staff were very informative and polite on arrival and right the through out our stay. The room was HUGE, so spacious with a large bathroom and 2 balconies to chose from. The bed was really comfortable and the whole suite was immaculate throughout with beautiful detailing at every corner. Throughout the whole resort it was great to see how much detail went into the whole design and ambience. It really felt like we were in Bali paradise! We ate at the Biru Biru restaurant and the food and drinks were amazing with spectacular views. It was amazing to walk through the grounds and see how much beauty this place had to offer. We loved the pools and could have stayed a whole month! Would recommend anyone coming to Malaysia to come down to Penang to see the beauty this resort has to offer. We uploaded a vlog on our TikTok page @2toontravellers

Probably one of the best places we have ever been to in 7 years of traveling. This is not only a beautiful resort but they have built a school in which we met with the kids and it was the most magical moment. The resort is so nice, staff are so so kind. We stayed at the Royal Suite which was so impressive, every single detail about this place is magic ✨

Good decorations because i love the buildings and interior decorations that are unique compared to other so called traditional designs hotel but this one i would say7/10 or 8/20 because i think they still can do better. The utilities are horrible as first day entering the room the aircons already leak heavily after 10 to 30 mins staying there(i cant recall properly the exact time) (they repaired it afterwards) and also the bath tub for its price range i expect something more lavish than the standard middle class bath tub but hey at least it works right? NO it doesnt because trying to filling is pointless due to the heavy leakage so imagine filling it up with hot water barely even reach 1/4 of the tub before running out of water and also the water keep leaking. When i finally was able to get it filled up the water was cold and it ruined my mood for bathing. Now we move on to air-conditioning i personally think the smaller room is suitable to use 1 typical airco unit but for family size like mine i think you should atleast have 2 or use stronger ones so the temperature are evenly spread out across the room as the bed im currently sleeping on and typing now is not getting enough of it hence finally made me type this review. Other than that the staff is friendly, the view is nice so overall its ok hotel that can be heavily improved and become way better if they fix this. Oh almost forgot to mention the toilet switch is far away from the toilet so here i am ehem in the dark because i dont wanna wake up anyone without turning on the light.

A mixed review I'm afraid. The decor and setting are brilliant, very evocative and eclectic. We were upgraded for free from a standard room to a sea view room and this, to be honest, was the highlight of the stay as we would spend hours sat on our balcony looking out onto the Andaman Sea. The rooms were a bit basic, no cupboard or safe but TV, sofa and small fridge (not built in, just plugged in and left on the floor). Maintenance was being carried out by staff in various areas while we were there. There are two pools, one next to the cafe and a more private infinity pool on the opposite side of the resort. There are also children's pool's at each of the main pool areas. Staff in the reception area were helpful. Cleaning was a bit hit and miss (and to be fair we declined them on the first day as had just returned from a trip out), bins emptied and towels replaced but beds left unmade. Reception would only accept cash or Grab pay, no bank cards. No bar on site and public drinking not allowed (we drank in our room and on our balcony). The resort is located in an isolated spot, by car within 10 mins in each direction there are bars and restaurants but nothing close by. Bus stops are also located close by, but there is no pavement where the resort is located so you are walking on the edge of the road for a while, so beware of traffic. The Biru Biru cafe is located on site and is very popular due to its views over the Andaman Sea but we found the food so-so. Adjoining walls are thin so if you have noisy neighbours (as we did) it can disturb your sleep.

We spent the afternoon and evening at the Lost Paradise. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large and had a small private pool! There were so many little nooks and spaces to relax, even a playground for our toddler to play. The two pools were great, and there was a small kiddie pool with slide as well. The food at the Biru Biru cafe was yummy, with a nice view over the sea.

We visited this vibrant, welcoming resort in Penang on the way to Batu Ferringhi. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. The resort, filled with beautiful flowers, was a feast for our eyes. Our room was large enough for our whole family, styled with Balinese decor. It truly felt like a slice of Bali in Penang. Come morning, we enjoyed sunrise by the sea from the garden. The resort has two pools, both having accessible spots for children. The restaurant, Bira Bira, offered great sea views, although with limited vegan options. However, our room's fridge was spacious, helping us store food. Overall, this family-owned resort—which seemed almost magical— provided us a peaceful, relaxing three-day stay.
