The three nights and days my wife and I spent on Kangaroo Island were made fantastic by our hosts Tam and Tim. They have put together a fantastic luxury place to stay that is truly off the grid and overlooking the ocean. The quality and comfort is not compromised at all by being off the grid. They have thought of everything. Tam and Tim just love what they do! The meals are amazing and its fun to have a cocktail each evening with Tim and/or Tam before dinner. Breakfast and dinner was served in our Villa while we looked out over the property, the ocean and some of the local kangaroos who might come up on our deck. Tim led our tours for two days which took us all around the island. Lots of history, wildlife, beaches, views and fantastic picnic lunches made our days a true joy. It was not rushed and just added to what is a great getaway!!!. …

This lovely spot was quite the experience! Pros Wonderful location with coastal views Spacious well appointed two bedroom villa Breakfasts and dinners served by the hosts in the villa were heavenly...Tamsin is a 5 star chef with a highly educated palate. Hosts were very attentive Our guide,Becky Westbrook, for the three days spent on Kangaroo Island was the very best! Cons The lighting system was hard to manage... needed to be labeled as there were too many switches As in many accommodations in Australia, the mattresses were very hard.

Becky is wonderful and we are certainly very lucky to have her here - we actually feel fortunate to have a wonderful team in house and touring. Thank you for your feedback around the lighting - as the villas are large, over 170 square metres and across two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living and dining, and private deck, and aso walk in robe, it does mean light switches are in a number of places, different to a hotel room which is generally more central, but obviously without the generosity of space. We highly recommend Oceanview Eco Villas to anyone planning a trip to Kangaroo Island. They met us at the airport to greet us upon arrival. After settling in to our Villa Tamsin and Tim delivered delicious cocktails to us. They sat down and shared their off the grid eco philosophy and made sure we were comfortable in our Villa. The Villa was a 5 star accommodation with 2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. Picture windows made you feel like you were part of the beautiful scenery and a bonus was watching the deer and wallabies steps from your patio. Dinner was delivered to our Villa and was again 5 star gourmet. In the morning we ate a beautiful breakfast in our Villa then were picked up by Becky for our day of adventuring the island which included a picnic lunch and scenery that can only be described as breathtaking. During our stay I held a koala bear, fed kangaroos, walked among sea lions and saw other beautiful wildlife and seascapes. I'm sorry if this review is long but I just got home and am reflecting on our experience which can't be summed up in a few sentences. What an incredible experience. I would give 6 stars if possible! The villas is gorgeous, well thought out and incredibly comfortable. Very spacious, incredible views and the thought behind every detail-including how eco conscious they are, is amazing. The hosts treat you like family and are there for everything you may need. As if I couldn't rave about them anymore, the food is AMAZING. Every meal is locally sourced and delicious. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

My husband, daughter and I have just stayed at Ocean View Eco Villas and what an absolutely wonderful time we have had! Tim and Tam are truly wonderful hosts. The food, the cocktails and the Villas are absolutely out of this world. We also were lucky enough to meet Katie and Ernie, something that will stay in our hearts forever. We had a wonderful two nights and were impressed with the attention to detail. The owners/hosts, Tamsin and Tim spent, two years planning and designing the two Eco-friendly cottages. The carpets and decking were manufactured from reclaimed materials only add to the allure of the modern build. We stayed in one of two cottages, featuring two large master suites with walk in closets. A large common great room includes a kitchen, dining area and living area with gas fireplace, Furniture and minibar snacks were all locally provided by local island artisans. All gourmet meals are included and Tamsin does not disappoint. All ingredients are locally sourced and chicken, lamb and eggs are free-range. She had to admit that the coffee comes from the mainland, since no coffee is produced on the island. Our wildlife guide, Nikki Redman, was excellent. If in Kangaroo island, do not miss staying here.…

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights R&R a few weeks ago. The standard of accomodation is top notch - relaxing and peaceful. It goes to show enviromentally freindly does not need to come with any sacrifices whatsoever. The views are to die for and so is the food and service provided by Tim and Tamsin. Sunset cocktails on the cliffs a real highlight. Location is very private, you have 1km of private beachfront for walks, or you can take a picnic hamper (which T&T will prepare for you), to one of the many picturesue locations for lunch (we went to Vivonne Bay). Cannot fault a thing, hope to be back one day.

We stayed 4 glorious nights in early July, a wonderfully relaxing trip and a great way for us to reconnect away from our busy lifestyle. Tamsin and Tim are the ultimate hosts, discreetly catering to our every need and we felt completely spoilt during our stay. We had the most divine 3 course meals each night and breakfasts each morning, created by the incredibly talented Tamsin. Local produce and local wines were extra special. Dinner on our first night was KI King George Whiting that was caught earlier in the day. Delicious! Tamsin arranged an in room massage for both of us, our masseuse was brilliant! The villas were beautifully appointed with luxury local touches in the well stocked mini bar and beautiful bathroom amenities.
