We arrived late at night having driven from near Oslo. We managed to get lost in Stavanger, but the B&B staff talked us through the route by phone, and came out to the top of the hill at midnight to guide us in. We found them cheerful, chatty and helpful throughout our stay. The room was basic but clean, the...

My sister and I went to Norway to search for family roots. We stayed at Stavanger B&B where we were so well taken care of that we felt we had found part of our "home". Micheal, the owner, even drove us to the Emigration Center in our attempt to find family connections. The staff at the B&B were, without exception,...

Being on a budget, this was one of the cheapest places that I could find in Stavanger. After lugging my bag up the hill, I was greeted kindly by the staff, however, I had to pay first thing, and their machine did not accept foreign cards. They let me check-in and pay once I could get money out elsewhere. I...

A really cosy place to stay in with a friendly, open-hearted staff, always smiling, ready to help and able to speak several languages. Fantastic breakfast where you really miss nothing, accompanied with eggs and bacon, extra prepared for you personally. Not to forget a lovely evening treat for the stomach in form of tasty norwegian home-made waffles with straberry jem...

We booked a room there, because of recommendation of friends. It is a easy location, but very clean and very nice people are working there. The breakfast and the waffles in the evening were fantastic.

'm Italian and I have stayed at B&B Stavanger in September 2008, one night. And even though it was not a nice experience. I was greeted by a lady who was cleaning the hotel and asked to pay immediately (even if I got used to pay after check in, leaving only the credit card number as a guarantee). Anyway that...

We spent a night in a room with en suite shower but no toilet. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to check out very early in the morning before the breakfast time. Normally, the hotel would not care if we couldn't have breakfast but for this B&B, they prepared us...

I booked this B&B through http://www.stavangerbedandbreakfast.no and there are a fair few misleading comments there. Firstly, I understand that every B&B owner is entitled to a holiday but one would think that during the summer high season, Mr Peck would have been there to greet guests. He was, however, on holidays himself and so we were greeted by the one...

Budget pension conveniently located (10 minute walk) to the ferry terminal, city center, and train/bus station. On the bad side: our "room" was basically an attic, with an angled ceiling which made it impossible to stand in half the room. One of the two "beds" was a cot, the kind that fold up (of which we were NOT informed). There...
