We stayed for a single night. The room was excellent: well finished, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice. Our room faced onto the street (with a great view of Mount Aksla) so there was some noise but only the same as you would find in any other city. Overall a very nice stay at a hotel which...

We stayed here for 2 nights during a "Norway in a Nutshell" trip. Very cute old building with pretty staircase. We had a room right at the corner with great views. Breakfast was small in selection (compared to some of the other places we stayed) but good. Location was very central in Alesund.

Booked this hotel as part of the Norway in a Nutshell tour. Located centrally, with a 10 minute walk to the bus station and pier. It also has an entrance to the mall, which is convenient for families to buy water, baby food etc. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was good. The room was good and bathroom modern. My only...

Hotel placed 5 minutes walking to all the main attraction of Alesund (centre, Harbour, stairs to Alska). Inside the structure is not so renovated in the common area but rooms are quite modern, clean and essential: what I look for in my road trip of Norway. The hotel does not have any free parking but there is one linked wih...

We walked everywhere. Short distance to tourist bureau. Mall with grocery store underneath hotel. Very nice restaurant called Lyst just minutes away. Aksla steps (418 steps ) with amazing view of the city very close. We took the bus from the airport where the driver came right into the baggage area to see if we were taking the bus before...

Our stay here on a Saturday night was pleasant, until breakfast time. For some reason, it is served late (from 8am) on Sundays, and there were literally 40-45 people lining up waiting to get in. Then doors open, there is a rush, chaos and the small food area is filled with everyone trying to get their breakfast at once. It...

The positives... The room was clean and modern although a little noisy from the street, the location was central although no view, the breakfast buffet was very good. The negatives... The parking is extortionate - £28 for a day! The lift is old and erratic- wasn't working this morning so we lugged the cases down flights of stairs to be...

It has a very convenient location to explore Alesund. We could reach the small harbour or climb up the hill within 15 min. The hotel has a stylish Art Nouveau dinning room. It was nice to have breakfast there. Staff serving breakfast was very kind and helpful. The receptionists were however reluctant to help. The man was very cool and...

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We spent Saturday and Sunday nights at this hotel and got little sleep due to street noise. Now, we like to keep the windows open for fresh air. Saturday was the end of a local festival and many groups of people ended their evening walking and talking loudly up the street in front of...
