This is a great place to stay, very homey in a good way. Staff was very nice and helpful, free coffee, tea and brownies. I also bought a few beers to take to my room. Yes its a walk uphill, but its downhill tot he Warf and the sites. Breakfast was the best they had everything and kept refilling the...

Excellent staying experience in the hotel. The staff is very friendly with warm and sharing heart. Thanks for her, we found out lots of hidden gems in Bergen! The location is wonderful because it's so close to sights but it's in a quiet neighborhood.

We stayed here on our final night of our Norway getaway and this was the 4th hotel we stayed in. We walked from the train station which was OK despite the heavy rain although the steep hill up to the hotel made the calf muscles burn a little! I was looking forward to a nice cold beer but, alas, all...

Dear guest :-) Thank you for taking the time to write a review . It is right that we are a bed and breakfast hotel. We sell beer, wine and soft drinks in the reception. There is a sign telling that at the coffee/tea/ brownie buffet and at the reception desk. Sorry you missed that. We have a lot of...

the bed sinks...so i ended up putting the mattress on the wooden floor and sleeping there instead...being a picky sleeper. breakfast salvaged the bad beds, having homemade strawberry and raspberry jams. the hotel is a 15 minute walk from the core of town..so it feels a bit removed and suburban. very clean generally but the carpet in my room looks...

Wonderful location and nice rooms but, most importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Please note that it is a "historic" property, and advertised as such, so it has an old world feel to it that we loved but may not be for everyone.

Linda and the girls at Hotel Bergen made for a wonderful stay. We stayed in a beautiful room on the 3rd floor of the building across the street. Our accommodations were spacious and provided a great view of the city. We learned of the famous brownies when we checked in...I might have had 3 right then and there. Maybe 4....

A lovely small hotel, fitting guest rooms into a large old house, so it's not your usual hotel room layout. Great breakfast, smart lobby and public rooms and very well run. Not at the epicentre of town (it's a block from the university) but nowhere is more than a 10 min walk in Bergen.

This hotel is a member of De Historiske, an organisation focusing on preserving historical buildings. So, it's nice to look at (like a museum) but not all that great to stay in. It's about a 10-15 minute walk (slightly uphill) from the center (no buses or public transport except taxis). The hotel is actually in two separate buildings with the...

POSITIVE: Large standard room, almost like a mini suite. Pretty high standard in total. Good breakfest, had everything you need, centrally located. NEGATIVE: ok location, but could have been closer to nearest bus stop. The evening/night-receptionist showed little knowledge of public transportation in Bergen. The advice i got was:"download the bus-app and check for yourself" She was polite though, but...

This is a fantastic hotel. The decor is quaint and stylish, the service and the staff are super friendly and helpful which makes for an overall relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast is fantastic and the tea, coffee and brownies offered 24/7 in the breakfast room were a particular highlight. I would highly recommend it!
