I booked a bunk there just of budget reason... location is ok, some 10 min walk from central station. The Hostel is quite new,but the rooms are small for 8 persons with luggage. Shower on the room and small galley as well... not to practical. No locker, whacky basic bunks and few sockets made for a poor general impression. And...

Fine room for us (family of 4). Wifi ok. The supermarket in the hostel is really practical and the neighbourhood has a good choice of restaurants nearby. I also liked the bathroom with good floorheating. Pitty that beds don't have individual lights. Corridors feel like a hospital. Security is OK.

Not the best but not the worst place I stayed. I didn't like the fact that the shower in the room was too tight and you'd get the entire room wet if you used it. But there's not many optins in Oslo, so it's a place to stay. The beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful. Nothing more to say.

Nice rooms, but probalbly the most unpolite and unprofessial staff I ever have encountered. Defintively everything else than helpful and should not work at a hotel but at communal institutions or in prisons. We were shocked by the female receptionsts repeated unpoliteness and have never experienced anything near this exept from at the cheapest and dirtiest crack-house hotel in Ohio....

Frankly speaking, I would not repeat my stay over there. Even though that is one of the cheapest hostels around Oslo, the hostel has several disadvantages, There are not enough big lockers for the clients, you can not cook after 10 pm, and the ceramic glass did not work properly. It took me like an hour to prepare some rice......

We stayed in a mixed dormitory for 8 people. The beds were comfortable. They had a kitchenette facility within the dorm room. (They would provide utensils on request). The shower space is quite small. The rooms were quite neat and clean. They also had a table and couple of chairs within the room. The location of the hostel is the...

Good location - short walk to the train station and local attractions. The staff was helpful. The facilities are clean but average - there is only one bathroom for a dorm of 8, and they charge you to rent linen. The wifi in the room was *very* spotty.

Anker hostel has a fairly central location, which is nice. As is the Norwegian way, they charge extra for literally everything. They charge extra for bed linen - but if you don't use bed linen, you get fined - and no, sleeping bags do not count as bed linen. So this is an obvious scam because what kind of hostel-goer...

When I stayed in Anker Hostel I met a variety of people. Some of them were quite strange. I had to change the room after I felt really uncomfortable in the first one, because there were some really creepy people in there. As i travelled a lot I'm used to all kind of travellers, but I felt an unease so...
