All rights right for sightseeing trips and when you are carless in Oslo. Everything like you would expect from a 3/4 star hotel. Many amenities. Great breakfast. Nice location. Fast wifi (Don't nail me on that, since I was almost the only guest. They were closing the next day due to the curfews). Rooms seem to be bout 10 years old. But still clean and well-kept. Price is all right. Would go again. Thanks!
I booked a room due to a conference at Oslo Met, and for any purpose in the city centre the hotel is very well situated- especially considering the reasonable rate. The room was fairly recently redecorated, as was the bathroom; it felt cleaned and hygienic. The breakfast surprised me somewhat in its abundance of food varieties; there were scrambled eggs, meatballs, bacon, potatoes, sausages, bread and many types of cold cuts etc. I could definitely stay at the hotel another time.
The hot water in the shower comes and goes. The rooms have bad condition, many rooms have no handle on the window. When complaind, they told me to write in the booking next time that I want a room that has handle.
The service is great. But the room I got, did not look at all like the advertising picture at Hotels.com. And it did not have a Safe, and there was no cabinet for clothes. TV did only have a few channels that worked.
This hotel is part of the Thon group and is located a very short walk from the centre of Oslo and all the tourist sites. As expected the customer service is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable with free WiFi, TV, Desk, breakfast is on the 2nd floor with a good selection of hot and cold choices. Near to the reception is a small area with free tea and coffee and vending machines. This particular Thon Hotel is not the best and maybe basic for some people but it's still a good hotel.
