Maybe not the biggest room (stayed in a budget room), but enough space for two people with "winter"-luggage. Very close to the city center, airport bus and the tourist information. Friendly and helpful staff. Cofee- and teamaking facilities in the room, and also tea/coffe 24/7 in the reception. In the afternoon the possibility to make your own waffels :0) Good...

I stayed there on a three weeks trip and can really recommend this nice and welcoming hotel.

Stayed 3 nights in November 2015 on trip to see Northern Lights and Whales. This hotel is in a great location as the Flybuss dropped me off outside and I caught the Flybuss just down the road. Also, the information office, old Cathedral, shops and restaurants are just round the corner. As has been said by others, the staff are...

The hotel is basic - it is old and and needs updating. Having said that the rooms and bathroom were clean and pleasant (the bathroom floor is heated). We asked for a room as high as possible with a view and that's what we got. The main selling point for the hotel is its location - near the waterfront and...

Very central location , just around the corner from the tourist office and airport bus stop. A good basic hotel, with a comprehensive good quality breakfast choice. Staff were very helpful in giving really good advice on routes to drive in the area. Double room was ok , but it could be fairly small for some. Plenty of locals staying,...

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The location is very good - central yet relatively quiet. Nice and clean room and good breakfast. Very helful and polite staff. Tip: the Amalie hotel is independent, not connected to a chain. For the best price call the hotel directly.

First time in Norway on a solo trip, I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during my Norwegian holiday. I quickly learned that Norway is a very expensive country yet I wanted to take a break from hosteling and stay at a proper hotel in Tromso to experience the Midnight Sun. I’m really happy I stayed here for so...

rather expensive for what it is however i have enjoyed staying here at least 5 times over the years. practical and central but with little else besides. the views are blocked mostly by other buildings and the breakfast option is pretty basic but friendly staff make up for that. if you are just needing a bed this is a good...

We booked this hotel because of ratings on trip advisor and it didn't disappoint. The shuttle bus from the airport dropped us close to the hotel and it was also very close to the Visitors Information Centre. We had a room on the top (5th floor) which was not huge but clean and quiet. A safe in the room would...
