I stayed here for two nights, with my mum and my dog. There are plenty of opportunities here for going for walks, as well as for fishing. The main attraction though is Saltstraumen which is within walking distance. The cabin was ok, although a bit worn. Was disappointed by the bathroom. When taking a shower, the water ends up all over the floor. As a result of covid-19, you are required to pay for linen and towels. You can choose whether to clean the cabin yourself or pay for someone to do it for you.

Stayed her for a night. Booked a cabin for us the family, 2 adult, three kids and a dog. The cabin was nice. had all the utensils needed for a stay. The camping itself was nice and quiet. The location close to the maelstrom was excellent. Nice and helpful staff.

Stayed two nights at Saltstraumen camping. We booked a basic cabin (600NOK/night) which was the worst experience in our three week Norway road trip. The cabin smells so bad (mold) and the bed clothes were dirty (smelled sweat). We have been in several camping sites around Norway before, this place really need a renovation. There were an air freshener in the room which make the indoor air even worse. I had to sleep in the car because couldn’t stay inside. The area is full of seagulls and this was the time for little birds get out of the nest. The birds were protecting their babies aggressively. For me, as not being a really bird person, this was scary. But that’s nature and you cannot really do a lot for this issue. The cabin didn’t have any cooking equipment as kettle and so on. Other shared facilities were ok and in good shape. The best fishing spot can be found in 5 minutes walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great 👍

The campsite is really well located next to the sea for fishing and the toilet block is good. But otherwise just don’t bother. We were going to stay for 3 nights but in he end left after 1. The area for tents is a joke. It’s like pitching on a derelict car park with a bit of grass around. A public access road split the site and for most of ltr hours till about 1am local kids were driving motorbikes and cars in circuits around the roads. The tent pitches have no electrics, even though it says you can have electric it was just depressing...:. But like I say the fishing was good! And he staff were nice but for ye amount of people Staying they need to spend some money on the site and maybe not try and cram so many people.

We stayed in a cabin for 4 people, it was very nice and clean. The WiFi did not work properly though. The location of Saltstraumen camping is excellent, very close to the bridge and about 30 minute drive from Bodø. Good value for money overall!
