When we checked in to the Ring we were given a room on the 7th floor. The room was quite spacious but didn't have curtains - it only had some simple blinds on the windows that didn't really shut out much light. Our windows also faced East so that when the sun rose at 05:00 our room was fully light...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Hadn't been back for a year. Good as ever which means as close to perfect as possible. What can I say? From arrival at the front desk, to the homely comfort of the room, totally committed staff, fine dining, all was perfect. Ideally located to explore the city, there is no more elegant comfortable base in Vienna. Sometimes I think...

The location of this hotel is great. Right across the street from the Opera house. i would stay there again.Hotel was very accommodating offering us some champagne and snacks to celebrate. I think the hotel needs a bit of updating and better wifi would be my only two things. Also, a bit more space to store luggage in the rooms...

I was so very pleasantly surprised with this hotel! In the very beginning, the lady handling the reservation was very accomodating, helpful and quick to respond. We arrived very late and had a car waiting for us at the airport which had been arranged by the hotel. The moment we arrived, we were very impressed. The staff was so helpful...

This beautiful Relais Chateau in the center of Vienna offers spacious well-equipped rooms, helpful pleasant staff, and a generous breakfast. I enjoyed it even more after my meetings were finished. It is so centrally located, down the street from the Opera, with excellent transport all around. We found it equally pleasant in the balmy evenings to sit outside and enjoy...

Our travel agent recommended the Ring hotel. Wonderful experience. Location excellent across from Opera house and walkable to everything. Room beautiful. Most importantly the staff was uniformly tremendous and we probably met 10-12 different staff people during our 4 days both behind the main desk and the bell people. Everyone friendly and helpful, always pointing out how to get anywhere....

We loved our stay at the hotel. It is in a great location and the staff is extremely friendly. We loved Vienna which has to be the most bike-friendly city in the world. It was a Vienna bike drop-off pick-up location right across from the hotel.

The location of this 'casual luxury hotel' is ideal for visiting all the main sights of Vienna. Comfortable, spacious room, well appointed bathroom and in-room facilities. The breakfast was adequate - not worth the 32euros they ask for it and if we hadn't had an inclusive rate we would have taken breakfast elsewhere. The breakfast room staff were friendly and...

Home: that's exactly how it feels! Staff is lovely, helpful and will try their best to answer all your wishes. Great location! You'll find cafés, stores, museums within walking distance. Rooms are big and clean. Wifi is fast. Breakfast is ok (not many options). There are better restaurants for lunch and dinner nearby.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel is one of Vienna's most hip City- and Lifestyle hotels. Since its opening in November 2007 it pampers its guests with outstanding comfort and casual luxury in every detail. You find the hotel best located, in the middle of the centre of Vienna, the famous art-, culture and shopping mile Wiener Ringstraße in front of the door. At Kärntner Ring number 8 the historic façade has been lovingly renovated. Inside guests are welcomed by a modern, straight and nevertheless sensual interior. New elements were merged with old ones - for example the 100-year old elevator and the plastered walls of the "Ring Suite", combined with modern design. The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel, has 68 rooms and suites available, all luxuriously equipped and made of an inspiring mix of contemporary and classic design. Guests can choose between Casual-, Special, and X-ordinary rooms, as well as Cosmopolitan suites or the unique Ring Suite. The innovative illumination concept and the exquisitely made bathrooms complete the extensive feeling of living. The concept of warm brown and beige colors, refreshing pistachio and fiery red makes the hotel an amazing place. At the stylish hotelbar "Drings" by Le Zefire guests can expect the atmosphere of a French Club, great drinks, international music and cool people. On a regular basis live DJs will be contributing to the party feeling. The restaurant "at eight" is located on the ground floor and pampers the guests with outstanding international, toque winning seasonal aroma cuisine. Apart from the cuisine awarded with two toques, the innovative design concept impresses the guests. "Dressing up for the evening" - the restaurant at eight changes its clothes every afternoon and suits up to be the perfect evening restaurant for its guests. At The Ring Day Spa guests can shake off their stress from all-day life. The Spa, located on the 7th floor, offers an amazing view over the rooftops of Vienna. A fitness area with most modern training equipment and entertainment centre is available for the guests. Fresh fruit and water are on disposal for free. Changing rooms, safe deposit boxes, shower rooms and towels are available on location. For guests of the hotel, the fitness area is opened around the clock. The demanding criteria of the prestigious international Green Globe label confirm the green stance of The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel on sustainable tourism in all of its establishments. Green Globe is an internationally recognized certification program designed for the travel and luxury tourism industry. Its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards are applicable to several types of structures such as resorts, spas and casinos. ... more   less
