The Ring's location cannot be beat. It is within walking distance to pretty much every major sight in Vienna. There is also a metro station right in front of the hotel, and it is very easy to catch a taxi from in front of the hotel. We had a very pleasant check-in experience. Miroslav helped us with our bags, showed...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in Vienna where we received perfect hospitality from all the staff. We booked the X-ordinary room and were very pleased with the facilities, large, roomy and bright overlooking the main road. We slept with the inner windows open and were not troubled by any noise at all on the 4th floor....

This hotel is perfectly located on the Ring near to the Opera house and Karlsplatz metro. The staff were very friendly and the room much bigger than we were expecting, although we were there at a quiet time. The breakfast in the restaurant was good and the little bar off the lobby had a fantastic bartender (Matthias) who was friendly...

The Ringiq the perfect place to explore the city. This new R&C intimate and charming hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Vienna. Great for romantic weekends of opera, museums and lovely restaurants. The hotel offers great large rooms with a very kind and caring staff that found us last minute opera tickets and made great recommendations for drinks...

We stayed for two nights at the Ring and were very impressed. The room was on the first floor with curved ceilings and much larger than expected with a separate dressing area. We couldn't fault it. The staff were lovely and really helpful. All spoke excellent English. If I have one criticism it would be that smoking is allowed in...

This hotel's location is the best thing about it. The room was tiny, blandly decorated, the bathroom was OK, the service was OK, the breakfast was OK (actually, no, it wasn't, it took them over 20 minutes to process an order for scrambled eggs and smoked salmon). For these prices, frankly, I expected better. Nothing about our stay in this...

Dear Badger885, a little bit surprised I am reading your truly staggering feedback here on TripAdvisor. I am worried why you did not come up with all this issues during your stay, I am sure we would have found a solution for everything. Now, 4 months after your departure it is very hard for us to find out for example...

When I first saw the small main entrance and the lobby, my heart sank. The hotel lobby looked like it was from the 90s and looked old and dated. Turned out the room was quite new. Design was simple but nice. Gym was kind of small but still doable. There are a few cardio machines and some dumbbells but there...

Hotel is really handy for central Vienna, and the hop on hop off tour bus, it is beside the Opera House. Hotel is very nice, room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly, and havea real pride in their city. Also of note is the best decaff cappucinos in Vienna!

This time I was upgraded to a very large corner suite. I felt like I could easily settle in and live in this as an apartment if only it had a kitchenette! In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel is one of Vienna's most hip City- and Lifestyle hotels. Since its opening in November 2007 it pampers its guests with outstanding comfort and casual luxury in every detail. You find the hotel best located, in the middle of the centre of Vienna, the famous art-, culture and shopping mile Wiener Ringstraße in front of the door. At Kärntner Ring number 8 the historic façade has been lovingly renovated. Inside guests are welcomed by a modern, straight and nevertheless sensual interior. New elements were merged with old ones - for example the 100-year old elevator and the plastered walls of the "Ring Suite", combined with modern design. The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel, has 68 rooms and suites available, all luxuriously equipped and made of an inspiring mix of contemporary and classic design. Guests can choose between Casual-, Special, and X-ordinary rooms, as well as Cosmopolitan suites or the unique Ring Suite. The innovative illumination concept and the exquisitely made bathrooms complete the extensive feeling of living. The concept of warm brown and beige colors, refreshing pistachio and fiery red makes the hotel an amazing place. At the stylish hotelbar "Drings" by Le Zefire guests can expect the atmosphere of a French Club, great drinks, international music and cool people. On a regular basis live DJs will be contributing to the party feeling. The restaurant "at eight" is located on the ground floor and pampers the guests with outstanding international, toque winning seasonal aroma cuisine. Apart from the cuisine awarded with two toques, the innovative design concept impresses the guests. "Dressing up for the evening" - the restaurant at eight changes its clothes every afternoon and suits up to be the perfect evening restaurant for its guests. At The Ring Day Spa guests can shake off their stress from all-day life. The Spa, located on the 7th floor, offers an amazing view over the rooftops of Vienna. A fitness area with most modern training equipment and entertainment centre is available for the guests. Fresh fruit and water are on disposal for free. Changing rooms, safe deposit boxes, shower rooms and towels are available on location. For guests of the hotel, the fitness area is opened around the clock. The demanding criteria of the prestigious international Green Globe label confirm the green stance of The Ring, Vienna's Casual Luxury Hotel on sustainable tourism in all of its establishments. Green Globe is an internationally recognized certification program designed for the travel and luxury tourism industry. Its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards are applicable to several types of structures such as resorts, spas and casinos. ... more   less
