Very friendly host with great recommendations and help with parking. Very nice, large room for the price. A little noisy with the trolley 20 feet from the window but surprisingly not a problem. Great location, I would highly recommend it!

A lovely place and very affordable for what you get!! The staff were also incredibly helpful in letting me check in early, printing my boarding passes, and taking time to help me figure out how to get to the airport. Highly recommended!

This is probably the most affordable place I've ever stayed in. This pension/hotel is nothing special; covered in older carpets, stains in the carpets in the room, sparsely furnished and very thin walls but overall it's a convenient place to stay in. Location is excellent. The bathrooms were clean. Fast wifi. Good breakfast. Perfect for a weekend getaway when you...

This hotel was a gift. It's beautiful blend between and authentic gracious Wiener style, rooms with high ceilings and thick 'flying' carpets, an intelligent, young, flexible, and helpful and very attentive hotel-keeper and his wife and kind personnel, - and -, last but not least: - superb internet - with speed and availability you rarely find in hotels. They also...

I should have been suspicious when I was offered a free upgrade at checkin to the double room 18 - avoid! There is a really dreadful strong smell in the bathroom which was still there after notifying mgr - it remained for the two nights I was there. The room is noisy facing the Main Street; the ironing board broken;...

Thank you Hotel Pension Waltzerstadt for a lovely stay. Friendly staff with excellent senses of humour made us feel right at home. They were also very informative and helpful. This Hotel is good value for money, also available is a reasonable breakfast (ordered at an extra cost, but very nice), with clean neat and spacious rooms. Very well situated to...

We loved our stay here so much, we came back to Vienna at the end of our trip and stayed again! The hotel is conveniently located near Hauptbaunhof (it's the station on the West side of town). From the airport, you can take one easy bus to Hauptbaunhof/Europa Platz) and walk about 15 minutes or take the CAT to I...

The hotel is located in Neubau, a district next to Innere Stadt. It is a very safe neighborhood that is known for its shops, cafes, restaurants (don't miss the Amerlingbeisl in Stiftgasse 8) and ofcourse the MuseumsQuartier! There is a tram stop for tram 49 opposite the hotel. Everything where perfect, the staff, the room, the location. The only downside...

Can't say enough good things about the staff here. They were helpful with all the questions we had about what to see, helped us figure out the tram/metro system (which is incredibly extensive). Rooms are large and clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. We will be back!

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
