I was struck down with the flu for three days over and including Christmas day. Fortunately I was staying at the lovely Levante Parliament so while I saw very little of Vienna, I did have a comfortable room to sleep away three days.

The Hotel is slightly difficult to find - it has minimalist signage on a long street. Tasteful rather than helpful! However this is the only fault I can raise with the hotel. Lobby is calm elegant and stylish with incredibly efficient and friendly staff. The...More
Just returned from a four night break at the Levante Parliament from 17/11/10 to 21/11/10. First impressions very good, unique modern design with lots of coloured glass. After a very smooth check in the friendly receptionist explained the hotels facilities with a map and city...More

We stayed at Levante back in January, and it was stunning! Our room was just right - big enough for us to feel comfortable, even with luggage. The bathroom was luxurious and far bigger than bathrooms we have experienced in other similar priced hotels. The...More

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of
overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure about the breakfast buffet options. They should be flexible enough to offer something for vegetarians, but I wouldn't count on it. Luckily, if you're in Vienna, you're never far from a plethora... More

Best of luck. Enjoy Vienna. It's a fantastic city.
