If you are looking for a hotel in the centre of Vienna then look elsewhere . This hotel is 2km from the centre. A comfortable walk or 2 stops on the metro from Pilgramgasse station. We arrived in Vienna on a Sunday. Very hard to find restaurants or bars open on a Sunday. The hotel is very comfortable, rooms are...

Convenient location, nice size room but smell of smoke in the room despite being a non smoking room. I let the staff know but no offer of changing room and no guarantee that I could air my room as staff/guests can smoke beside my window.

We were told that the hotel we had originally booked had been cancelled whist at the airport and were offered La Prima instead. We arrived late in the evening to a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was large and clean and the bathroom was also a good size. Breakfasts were great and in pleasant surroundings. The staff were excellent,...

This is a good low-med budget hotel in a decent location but clearly not a '4 star' property. The rooms and common areas are clean and relatively modern, but fairly 'basic' and the service is limited essentially to the person at the front-desk. Location is okay but plan on taking the (nearby) metro to major sites as it's quite a...

Pros: -clean, modern hotel located just outside of downtown in the gay neighborhood. -friendly, helpful front desk, housekeeping, & restaurant staff -easy to use wifi. None of the pesky crap that other hotels have. Log your devices on & you are good to go. Refreshingly simple. Cons: -the shower in room 506 is finicky. After being shown the tricks, I...

Very impressed with the design of this hotel. Very modern and uncluttered. Rooms are very spacious so you can actually spend time relaxing in the room without just having to sit on the bed. Bed very comfy by the way! Fridge full off goodies which I won't be touching! Nice lighting in the room with lamps dotted around. Bathroom plenty...

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
