I spent a wonderful week here within easy train commute to downtown Vienna. It took me about 20 minutes to travel to the center of downtown Vienna and about 5 minutes to Schonbrunn Palace by high speed commuter rail. My room was medium sized, spotlessly clean and had a mini fridge to keep drinks, cheese and other food items cold...

We have just returned from a week at Club Hotel Cortina and had an excellent time. Our room was spotless and very comfortable and the Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The week we were there, the Spar in Uber St Veit was undergoing renovations as was the Ubahn in to Vienna. However, the excellent Spar reopened before we...

Very clean, elegant and quiet, in a quiet nieghbourhood. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. A small fridge with drinks to be paid for. Not very close to public transport. Unfortunately there is no kettle to make tea or coffee.

Exceptional location in viennas elite district....away from the hub of the city centre but very easy commute to viennas landmarks. Clean, modern with extremely friendly staff. Comfortable rooms, very good variety for breakfast. Excellent hotel to wind down after a long day of sightseeing. Highly reccomandable.

The hotel is very clean, exactly as shown on photos. It is 8-10 minutes walk from the U-bahn, then 20 min ride to the center. So it is about 30 min commute. It is OK for many people, but if you need to take a mid-day break for any reason, it becomes problematic. We did not buy their breakfast, it...

Nice hotel, been there several times for business reasons. However, for the same price, I didn't get the same kind of room (half of the size the second time). The hotel is situated away from the city center but thanks to the close public transport : bus, tram, metro you can get there in a dozen minutes. Very close to one of the most important sights - Shoenbrunn. Cleanliness of rooms, friendly service, free Wi-Fi, tasty breakfasts and affordable price encourage return visits. I would recommend .

Staying in Hietzing

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
