Ultra modern hotel, actually too modern for my liking. But just great in every way! Nice, spacious lobby, amazing breakfast and great rooms. Staff very helpfull and friendly. We always had apples, water annd juice free inn the lobby! An added bonus. The only disadvantage was that the coffee shop was all smoking and it was like entering a cigar house....

We stayed two nights at Le Meridien (a mixture of business and pleasure), and whilst we thought the location was great and we were impressed with its style and modernity when we walked in (funky reception, art everywhere, mood lighting...) we soon came to realise that the hotel didn't quite live up to its chic, boutique vibe and we were...

Just returned from a five day stay at the Le Meridien. We used Starwood points (4 for 5 days) so keep in mind our review is based on total hotel bill of $30 euros for 5 days. Location is fabulous. Can't be beat. Free mini bar is much appreciated - although the beer offered is the cheapest available (.57 euros...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
