Spent 3 nights here 28th April. It feels like a small hotel and has individual caring service and individually decorated rooms. The free afternoon tea and cake is a welcome rest from sight seeing. Bar prices are very reasonable. Good location close to Vienna,s excellent underground system and easily walkable to major sights. A great location for a tremendous weekend

What was undoubtedly one of the best things about this gorgeous hotel, aside from the groovy décor, deliciously abundant breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea was the very kind and friendly attitude of all the staff. It felt like staying in a cool friend’s house, where nothing was too much trouble and staff were natural and genuine. None of that hideously...

I don't think I could recommend this hotel highly enough. The reception staff were extremely friendly and offered me a tour of the hotel when I got there. They also gave me loads of info and maps and so on, including a small map indicating useful local services e.g. atm, shops, and their recommended restaurants. The interior of the building...

We have stayed at the Altstadt three times as tourists and have had a wonderful time on each occasion. The Altstadt is boutique hotel with a charming character that's located in an interesting artsy district (Spittelberg), just behind the MuseumsQuartier. It's conveniently located, but a little out of the touristy central core. The staff is friendly, enthusiastically helpful, and very...

This very special hotel is part of an apartment complex in the heart of Vienna. Stayed in a wonderful suite, spread on 3 different spaces. Very clean and spacious. Traditional décor. Great value for money. Rich breakfast. Beautiful dining area. Definitely worth a return visit.

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
