A good hotel to stay in Vienna. Excellent situation. Professional and friendly staff, always smiling. Good breakfast, nice teatime, comfortable bed, really big bedrooms. Very quiet ambience. Needs to improve the wifi coverage in the bedrooms and to add some international channels on the TV.

Hotel Alstadt Vienna is a winner! Conveniently located in an exciting neighborhood with great service!the breakfast with scrambled eggs roasted onions and pumpkin seed oil, is to die for. The art throughout the hotel offers an even more cultural experience.

As this hotel shares the building with private residential apartments the entrance is not like a conventional hotel but is simply the (rather uninviting) entrance to the apartment block. However the reception area on the first floor is classy and the staff welcoming, helpful and very friendly. The guest sitting rooms and breakfast areas are very good and there are...

Loved this boutique hotel from the moment you enter. Great holiday décor, as well as their regular design choices. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The salon for breakfast and late night drinks was like sitting in someone's living room. The location can't be beat. Steps form the center and with a bonus Christmas market 2 blocks away.

What a great find! We loved our stay here. We walked everywhere, and loved being in a quieter part of town. The area felt more like a true Vienna neighborhood instead of a touristy area (but still walking distance to the inner ring). We enjoyed the local cafes around the hotel. We were there around the holidays, and loved the...

A wondeful, unique, boutique hotel. I loved the feel of the place - its setting on different floors of a larger house to the bold artwork on display. Rooms were comfortable and had little extras such as a coffee machine. The staff were always helpful and attentive if you needed them. We enjoyed relaxing in the bar area in the...

They have a great staff. This boutique hotel has a wonderful ambiance with a super lounge for drinks. Bathrooms are modern and they even leave chocolates on your pillow. Breakfast is outstanding. The Location is great for walking to attractions or for catching the U-Bahn.

We stayed at the Aldstadt Vienna for a research and inspiration trip in the city. The hotel has a friendly and welcoming feeling, like you are staying in a Viennese apartment. We found the Aldstadt team extremely friendly and helpful with information about the city and booking events. The room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is beautifully styled...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
