Good location, two minutes to the main U1 line. Very helpful staff - spoke excellent English. Rooms OK - we had booked a deluxe which I don't think they gave us because it was on the wrong side of the hotel and was no way big enough for four - but for two people it was lovely. No bath in...

We stayed here for one night. When we came in, we were visibly struggling and no one helped us out with our bags. The room is up winding hallways and staircases. Not straightforward or easy to get to. There is no iron in the room so you have to come downstairs to a room by reception to iron articles of...

Dear guest, thank you very much for your review. We are glad to hear that you liked your room which is individually designed by austrain artists. We are very sorry to hear that no body helped you when you were struggling with your luggage. We do not have a bellboy which is responsible to take care of the luggage of...

Whenever is possible I choose this hotel when I'm staying in Vienna. Good location - near Praterstern, connections to S-Bahn and U1, U2. Spacious and unique rooms. Friendly staff. One of the best breakfasts. Reasonable prices.

We were at this hotel for Christmas and totally loved the experience. Check in was smooth, staff was very courteous, the hotel and room was very tastefully and artistically done, and the bathroom was huge. Also loved the provided toiletries. The bidet was a plus, although we didn't use it. The breakfast was very delicious. Also loved the home-baked cookies...

We stayed in a triple room with plenty of space for all of us. Room was spotless, front desk very helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Do not miss the homemade preserves. Artwork throughout hotel is interesting. Recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 4 nights, end of December. The place is about 5 mins. from a U station which takes about 5 mins. to get to the city center. Since we had a transport pass the location worked out fine for us. We had a premium triple room. It was quite thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was very spacious/modern with...

Went to this hotel over the xmas period and had an excellent time. The rooms are clean and tidy and exactly what I had expected. The breakfast buffet was highly stocked and decent. It contained meats, cheese bread, eggs, bacon as well as cakes, juices and fruits. The hotel bar was nice and prices were average. 4.40 for a glass...

Super comfortable room for 4 of us....the sofa bed was very comfortable and we know that's a rarety! Spacious and clean with a modern bathroom and loved the artwork throughout the entire hotel. The breakfast was plentiful with a great selection and the coffee and hot chocolate were top notch. Only downside of our stay related to our airport transfer...

Very good hotel, based in very convenient location close to the underground metro. Staff were very welcoming, breakfast selection was great as well as food quality was high. Room was very nice and quiet at the back of the hotel, sadly view was to the back of the escape route, but otherwise very clean and modern. Bathroom had a underfloor...

We stayed at Der Wilhelmshof over the Christmas holidays. What can I say? It was magic. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and spoke fluent English. They even made reservations for us for Christmas Eve dinner at a wonderful little restaurant in the Prater. The breakfast, which is included in your room price,...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
