We spent one night at the pension. Pro: Pretty good size room, comfortable bed, within walking distance from the center. To improve: noise during the night on the hallway from other people getting installed. The old windows were causing a lot of noise due to the strong wind outside, making it difficult to sleep. Small, improvised bathroom with no ventilation....

The staff here is great and breakfast is very generous (bread basket, platter with cheese and cold cuts, cooffee or tea and some kind of unidentifiable juice). The room I had is very spacious with a sitting room area. Be prepared to step back in time. Apparently the pension exists since 1943 & that's pretty much the style you shd...

I stayed 2 nights at Schweizer Pension. I was greeted by name by the host at the door. She settled me into my room and assisted me with understanding the metro and finding a particular cafe I wanted to visit. The Pension is within walking distance to the city core and convenient to the metro and buses, quickly accessible to...

Excellent pension, very friendly stuff specially the manager in duty, so helpful and informative and professional. The rooms are so clean, well maintained. Breakfast was so good. Very good location...few minutes walking from everything. I loved my experience there and no doubt I 'd go back to the same place. Only the WiFi need to be improved

I booked two nights stay quite late and didn't want to pay over £100. I chose the Pension due to its location, reviews and fair price. It's in a great location, just 10 mins walk to the main shops, 20 mins to the museum quarter and relatively easy to find. The hotel itself has a b&b feel with a main...

We stayed with our daughter and this lovely pension in Vienna. The location was convenient to Metro and an easy walk to the historic downtown. The hosts were helpful and kind. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable.

Staying at the Schweizer Pension Solderer was like being taken in by a long-lost brother and being welcomed into a cozy home. By no means is it one of those spanking new hotels but rather has the feel of an intimate little bed and breakfast. Klaus is an absolute sweetheart and will go out of his way to make your...

I had a late checkin at midnight which I forgot to advise the staff and thankfully they checked in me! The staff was very friendly and provided really good advise on Vienna, clean and comfortable! The location is very near a metro station and there is a supermarket right outside the hotel, very convenient

First of all, the pension occupies not the whole building, but only the 4th floor. It was quite easy to find the location, because it is quite central and it takes approx. 20 minutes walk to get to the centre. Next to the building there are 2 supermarkets and a bus station for tourists with routs 2A and 3A. The...

This pension is beautiful. Klaus, helped us with everything. Such a nice guy. Is located very close to the principal attraction in Viena. We didn´t have the opportunity to have breaksfast with them. The place is a old building with so much history.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
