We spent most of a week at Pension Anna and really enjoyed it. The room we had was large, comfortable and very, very clean. The staff was remarkable in their willingness to help and their knowledge of the city. Nice breakfast and coffe to start the day. Pension Anna really contributed to our overall enjoyment of this awesome city. One...

A simple but nice hotel. My husband and I stayed for two nights. It was conveniently located a few meters from the Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's biggest shopping street. The hotel was however difficult to find at first because it was located at the second floor of a building. This could be either because we didn't read enough the instruction or description...

I have been to Pension Anna several times during the last years, and I really appreciate its main location: it is very close to MariaHilfer, close to the main shopping area, restaurants, bars and metro stations. It is basic (some rooms need a refurbishment!), but it is clean and the breakfast is good. The service has been changed a lot:...

Firstly, DO go to Vienna, which, even though it's hard to admit, puts London in the shade in terms of imperial architecture. The bigger cost will be transport. We flew Easyjet from the UK and that cost an arm and a leg. As to where to stay, we prefer to get a real feel for the city and have always...

The hotel also have few parking places and there is wifi. Also, they have an elevator (the hotel is on the first floor on...

The hotel is on the branch street Zieglergasse of the spine Mariahilfer str., that is full of outlets, shops, stores, etc. There are also a couple of supermarkets nearby. Walking distance to Zieglergasse metro station from which you can easily approach anywhere of the city. There has been already a lift so that you will have no difficulty with your...

Super location. Just next to Mariahilferstr. If you need a basic/clean room, just for a few night, without any additional requirements this is the right place. Parking place also possible.

I spent 1 night in this hotel with my family (including 2 kids) in 2nd week of Nov'11. I wanted a family room accommodating four of us and we needed it to be near Vienna Westbahnhof railway station as required by our tight schedule. From that point of view I found the hotel OK. It's located not very far off...

Well positioned family hotel situated in a side street just off the Mariahilfestrasse. It is very simple, but clean and fair value for the price. The rooms are basic, but very clean and the bathrooms have been modernised. The rooms on the Zieglergasse are rather noisy. If you are too sensitive to noise, ask for a room in the back...

We stayed two nights before touring eastern europe and one night on the return, different rooms, both times during the week about three weeks apart. Once learning the metro/tram system Pension Anna is not hard to find and easy to get to the city center. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, service good. Both rooms were located on the street side...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
