Our group of four stayed at Pension Pertschy for four nights at the beginning of May 2012. We were in a quadruple room which was very large with an adequate sized private bathroom. If you are expecting the Hilton, this is not it. The building is old but that is part of its charm. We had no issues with the... More

Yup..the Pension is situated in a narrowish street almost bang in the centre of THE district in Vienna and, as above, we could hear the fiacres occasionally below our 4th. floor room and also some traffic passing but certainly, at this time of the year (end of March) it was far from upsetting. As it was not too exorbitant, we... More

Have just returned from four day break in Vienna.Stayed in the Pension Pertschy which was ideally situated within the antiques quarter and only few minutes walk from city centre. The staff without exception were excellent, friendly and welcoming on arrival and more than happy to help with everything we required throughout our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and beds were... The location is perfect. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast is full of variety, so full-, or null-fat options are easy to pile up on the plate(s). That said, the place needs a real work over, I've seen 'tired' mentioned in other reviews and that pretty much sums up the decor. And although there is a sort of complementary... More

My family of 4 (2 adult children) stayed at the Pension Pertschy in late December 2011. The room we were given was enormous. It accommodated the 4 of us and we did not feel cramped. A bathroom had been added and was clean and functional. A good buffet breakfast is served each day and is included in the room rate.... More

We spent a few nights at Pension Pertschy over Christmas with our family, two adults and two children. We took the train into the city from Salzburg and jumped on the metro line from the train station to get there. Even with our kids (ages 7 and 9) pulling their own luggage it was a breeze to get there on... More

I would recommend this hotel for its location, right off Graben and Kartner and near St. Stephen's Cathedral. The hotel itself is quaint and comfortable and staff were helpful. Rooms are basic but clean, beds are comfortable and breakfast is good. Overall, this is a good place to stay when you are out touring most of the day and want... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights here in early Oct. I agree with the other reviews that the location is fabulous, the staff helpful, rooms clean, and the breakfast tasty. On the other hand, this place needs a makeover. Our room which looked out on the street had chipped paint and the space between the foot of the bed... More

Hotel Pertschy (or Pertschy Pension) is perhaps the best location in central Vienna and staffed with wonderful people who are helpful and efficient. They serve each morning a hearty breakfast of eggs, sausages, cereals, fruits, cakes, breads you name it, as part of the room rate (from 7 am to 10 am) and are within a 2-minute walk of the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
