Room was super spartan - but amazing location and free wi fi - what more could you ask for? If you're looking for a place to dump your bags, this is it. Also has a convenient restaurant attached with friendly, local vibe. Smoking rooms available which I appreciated. Underground a few matters away and a stone's throw from the central... More

Excellent location in the city center (in the heart of old town, meters away grom Graben and St. Stefan Cathedral, many stores, cafes and restaurants, close to metro station); Staff - friendly, helpful, proffessionals; Rooms - charming furnishing, clean, all the needed amenities were available; Very good breakfast. Pay attention, that if you do not want to provide credit card... More

The Hotel Graben is in a side street off the Graben, famed for it's chique shops. Just a minute walk from the underground and the Stephansdom cathedral in the heart of Vienna. Location really couldn't be better. Our 1st floor room was very small - swinging a kitten wouldn't have been an option! Two people unable to pass each other... More

The location of this property is hard to beat, on a quiet little side street just a half block off pedestrian-only Graben, very near St. Stephen's Cathedral. Personally I prefer a place with a little character as opposed to a sterile chain outlet, and this place dates to the 18th century and has some charm. Room sizes vary. The one... More

It's definately not a 4 star hotel. Interior needs some renovation and the hotel have seen much better times. The worst thing was that wi-fi internet cost 12EUR per day. C'mon guys, it's not serious - 21st Century, wireless internet should be free. And note, that ventilation system works automaticly, so that it turns off at 10 pm and turns... More

Yes, the decor might be a bit dated but the location is excellent, just off the very central Stephansplatz. The area is pedestrians-only, so it is very quiet at night. Decent (but not spectacular for Austrian standards) breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.

The location could not be better if you are looking for a quiet(ish) charming hotel in the heart of Vienna. OK, externally it looks a litle uninspiring but solid rooms and good front of house staff make this a better then you might expect place for a weekend break. The hotel is just (10 metres) off Graben and about 150... More

The location is fantastic but it gets a bit noisy towards the morning as there are restaurants right outside the hotel and deliveries are being unloaded at around 5-6am. Friendly hotel staff. Extremely convenient. Clean room. Breakfast was satisfactory. Recommended.

The hotel is right in the center of Vienna with excellent connections by U-bahn and busses. The price includes a good buffet breakfast and the service is excellent. The rooms are silent and clean. All rooms are individual and of good standard, including safe, mini-bar and TV. The food at the italian hotel restaurant is very tasty. In the near surrounding... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
