I did quite a bit of research - we were meeting friends staying at the LeMeridian - but we really wanted a more intimate hotel as opposed to a larger one. This hotel fit the bill. It is in a great location, very easy to walk to see the major sites, and one of the few that offered an affordable...

Lovely hotel, with lots of character on the Ringstrasse, opposite the Opera House. Noisy traffic but closing windows block this out at night. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast, served until 11am - very civilised! Mix of modern bedrooms, minimal style with character features. Very nice but beware the club in the basement - it is noisy at...

I was recommended this hotel by a friend and so glad i took her advice. The location is the best you can get in Vienna, walking distance to all city centre attractions and right next to all public transport, including the underground which is easy to use and can take you out to the Palace. Other hotels with similar location...

If you want to stay in central Vienna without breaking the bank too much this is the perfect hotel to stay. 5 minute walk from all the action and very close to many museums and shopping districts. Room was comfortable, no AC, but was provided with a fan (with the window slightly open in the evening it was fine). Clean,...

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel it was lovely, friendly , clean & good price. Biggest mistake we had mezzanine floor 1st level up and for the 2 nights all we could hear was the disco in basement the bass dumdum all night till 5 am which meant little sleep not sure if higher up would be better but this...

Our room at The Das Opernring Hotel was clean comfortable with an amazing location right on the Ringstrasse within a block of the Stats Opera House. Couldn't ask for a better location from which to experience all Vienna has to offer. The breakfast was sufficient to sustain our explorations around the city. However, beyond these important qualities was the kind...

Is it possible to give a folllow-up 5 star review of the same wonderful hotel two years after our initial stay? Hotel Opernring really is a 4 star jewel almost directly opposite the Vienna State Opera. Front Officer manager went out of his way (again!) to ensure my 79yo mother had the same amazing room as she previously enjoyed -...

Location and staff are unbeatable. Good connection to the airport and on walking distance to most touristic places. My room (3rd floor) was large and quite basic, next to the breakfast area (to my surprise not noisy in the morning). I liked that the windows in the room could be opened. No AC which was not a problem end of...

Located on one of the major rings across from the Opera House this hotel is perfect for exploring the city. We had a 1 Bedroom suite - large, sunny and nicely furnished. The breakfasts were great. It is within easy walk distance of most everything you would to see if you are in Vienna for a few days - and...

What a great hotel for our last nights of our Eoropean vacation. Room was great!! Bedding and pillows were soft. The views were amazing as well. The free breakfast every morning was perfect and great beginning to our days. The best part of or stay though was the manager Harold who was fantastic and made sure we had everything we...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
