Located about 10 - 15 minutes from central area for shopping, restaurants, transport. Rooms are decorated to a high standard, very comfortable beds, quality linens, beautiful communal areas, excellent breakfast choices.. Helpful polite staff. Perfect stay!

Two outstanding points about the Stefanie hotel are the breakfast and the staff. Apart of that, it is an average hotel. There is no option for a double bed - only two attached single beds with two blankets. The rooms facing the street are very noisy, and the (free) wifi in the room is weak. The price is very reasonable.

Stayed here four nights at Easter. Good location; easy to find (just five minutes walk from the U-bahn) and also a good starting point for exploring Vienna. Friendly and service-minded staff, both at the reception, cafe and restaurant. Great breakfast with a good selection. Free wifi which worked fine.

We stayed do here for a short honeymoon break (3 nights), March 2015. The hotel was spotless. Staff were so helpful. The breakfast was so efficient and well organised with something for everyone. We booked a room with a courtyard view and it was lovely and quiet. Just a very short walk from centre. Really hope to return some day!

We stayed here for 2 nights during Easter break and it was absolutely a great experience to capture the moment in Wien. Hotel staff, essentially, were very helpful and friendly to guide you exactly where you would like to go to. Rich history in hotel itself that has reflected the culture throughout layout and accessories. Wien is not big as...

This really old and elegant hotel is a short walk from the Danube Canal, just a few minutes from downtown. The breakfast is really fine and I can recommend a glass of sekt every morning, fabulous rye bread, cold cuts, eggs and bacon. Attentive staff, clean rooms, really pleasant place to stay, just slightly away from the bustle of the...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
