The rooms in this 'hotel' were very nice and the breakfast was good. The location was also ok, about a 10 minute walk from the cathedral. The staff were friendly but we had a couple of issues. On our booking website we requested an early check in but when we arrived our room wasn't ready. At check in we were...

I stayed here for 5 nights and on the whole I really enjoyed my stay. I had pre-booked a taxi from the airport which was a good thing as I'm not sure I would have found it otherwise. The hotel is on floors 2 and 3 of a building that looks fairly residential. Also the button to automatically open the...

We had a pleasant 3 nights stay in the hotel, staff is really friendly and helpful. We stayed in room number 8 which is located next to the breakfast room, so woke up early every morning due to breakfast preparations. If you can ask for another room: please do so! The room was clean and not small, but at the...

The hotel was a bit surprising at first and later found it very worthy for money. Old royal building for tourists and hardly found in anywhere else. Big bedroom but the bathroom is small; breakfast is very good with variety of hams and fruits. It is a big family instead of a hotel. The only problem is : we can't...

Stayed here for 3 nights in December with family members on an annual trip to Xmas markets. Location was good, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Taxi cost about 40 euro from airport. Hotel is within a residential building so seems odd when checking in, Reception was on 2nd floor. I'd emailed the hotel the week before to...

Stayed here with my wife for 3 days, a decent location, so close to Schwedenplatz and just adjacent the Danube. Excellent breakfast also with local cuisine also. Only negative is that they have an early check out at 11am.

It was a good value as I found some offer online which reduced the price considerably. However, I remember seeing near the door to the room the actual prices (150+euro night) for the room, and I can't believe it. The rooms are so outdated, so old, ... it looks like the furniture that was bought when the hotel started still...

The hotel itself is cramped but charming. I stayed in a junior suite, which was absolutely fantastic - don't settle for anything less! Some of the smaller rooms looked pretty awful. The location is good, within walking distance to everything in the centre and a good way to get exercise. Quiet at night despite being on a main road. No...

We were 3 couples staying here in 3 double rooms. One of the rooms had no curtains up and when requested, was told it would be looked into which it never was. As our friends like to sleep in a dark room this was not a good start. Our room was roasting hot when we went into it and when...

This hotel is situated on the second and third floor of a building ten minutes from the Stephanplatz. There is no lobby and the reception was brusque and unsmiling and showed us to a very small room with two beds one of which was a fold up bed. We paid 220 per night so not cheap! We refused to accept...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
