This is a nice little hotel at a good location. Nice, clean rooms with a small kitchenette. A prior reviewer complained about sheer curtains - wrong: the windows have the typical German built in shades which can totally darken the room. Cute courtyard with an attached funky little bar (where you can get ice cubes) and a plain small restaurant...

We stayed 5 nights, in a suite with kitchenette on the first floor facing the courtyard. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. We walked to the hotel from the Westbahnhof train station (it's less than 20 min walk). The hotel is walking distance to the old city (museumplatz, St Michaels, St Stephens, etc). And less than 10 min walk to...

Two blocks with a courtyard between a bit like tenement flats - i.e. at each of 3 levels an open walkway overlooking the courtyard with rooms coming off. The rooms are simple, but roomy with kitchenette (my fridge wasn't working) and a small but perfectly fine bathroom. Bar with drinks in the courtyard, and a great 'cafeteria' serving Phillipino food...

Location is great for restaurants/bars and within walking distance of city centre, with good transport connections to all major sites. Room /bathroom were clean, fresh public areas were lovely, particularly the internal courtyard. Breakfast was great value, continental buffet style with additional scrambled/fried eggs and bacon . There was also a really interesting room service/restaurant menu featuring Philippine cuisine, and...

Brilliantegrund is a fantastically stylish hotel with a good vibe throughout. Spacious and clean room, everything is just right. The courtyard is great for breakfast and drinks and the location is great too. I would recommend staying at Brilliantegrund!

The location is fine. Service was great, everybody being nice and friendly. The room was spacy, but otherwise rather ordinary - much like the bathroom, where the shower did not have any mixer (a bore when the hot water is 60 degrees C). Breakfast was excellent. If we had been charged 80-90€ per night, these conditions would have matched the...

I stayed at the Brillantengrund for five nights while in Vienna to run the marathon and for some business. It's a very unique hotel booked by my business partner, and I have to say I didn't know what to expect based on the reviews. It's in a nice building with an inner courtyard which the rooms are around of. The...

Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins.
