This is a once grand hotel, now somewhat faded but perfectly serviceable. Huge rooms, a decent breakfast, helpful staff. But this is spot on 4 stars; clearly some things missing (soap in the bathroom a good example) and not luxurious, but equally a step up from the basic level. Well located right by a subway station, if you don't want...

We loved this hotel. It's a 4 star and impressive when you enter. We had a double room on the first floor with lots of room. The staff were more than helpful and the breakfasts were wonderful - eggs cooked to perfection, fresh Bircher muesli, lots of choices in a lovely setting if you miss the crowds. It's located right...

My always stop on my road between Tirol and Ukraine - extremely welcoming friendly reception - rooms clean - some bathrooms could be better organized, as bathtub and shower not so easy, but all very clean ! Welcoming drinks in the suites are an excellent idea - fruit juice bio ! Breakfast buffet is not to beat ! even for...

We stayed here for four days. Our room was quite big, with the toilet separated from the shower in a separate room. The internet was fast enough, assuming that your teenager was not netflixing next door..but that is a different story. The breakfast has a nice selection. The omelet station was good. I would recommend going early to beat the...

The best thing about this hotel for us, was the location. In addition to that, the room was really big with a really big bathroom and it was clean. The thing is that we were tourists in vienna and we had a room with no view to the city or even a small street. We could only see the patio!!...

It was 29th of March and weather temperature started to go up , air conditioners were off and they have not decided to do anything about it at the time. Air conditioning is not supposed to make only hot or cool but also to refresh the air, and in spite of pointing out to carry air conditioning in the rooms...

I went there for a business trip for a two-night stay. The hotel is nice, staff is helpful and it is well located (1 min walking from the schottentor metro station). The rooms are clean and quite big (superior double room), with a big bathroom; the decoration is a bit outdated to my liking. Beds are very comfortable, though the...

We booked on line using a popular hotel website - selecting the room on line was easy as we wanted a decent room with a sitting area. We selected Superior or Supreme Double. What we got was the maids quarters. The TV was mounted 8 feet above the bed and was a small old fashion box. It was dark and...

Rooms were stuffy when we got in, had a weird musky smell. There was a window so we thought we could air it but to our disappointment, just outside of the window were vents/pipes and a wall about a metre away, didn't really help. In terms of location, it's great as it's just outside the station, you could walk to...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
