We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Vienna made all the more memorable by our excellent stay at the Sacher. The place oozes atmosphere, there are friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff and a truly delicious breakfast. There are so many positives it is hard to know what to mention but we must single out Thomas P at the front...

Historic, quaint and luxurious, a genuine pleasure. The "Blue Bar" is a little jewel box. The staff made my stay truly exceptional. They were as accommodating as humanely possible. the TV in the mirror in the bath didn't work, and for my inconvenience I was awarded a luscious Sacher Torte, a welcome trade-off. The concierge even managed to procure FRONT...

We stayed at the Sacher for my wife's birthday weekend. The hotel is a great traditional hotel with modern touches but above everything it is the staff that make your stay so memorable. It was our second visit and the service is top rate at every level.

Just back from staying at the Sacher for my 40th birthday. The whole experience was outstanding, from the warm welcome, to the standard of the room (thanks to a surprise upgrade very kindly arranged by the hotel) to the birthday treats that were left in the room. I've stayed in lots of hotels around the world and this one is...

This was my 3rd trip to Vienna, 1st at the Sacher. Exquisite food and staff. Their staff made us feel like it was our home. We were a group of 20 and they never batted an eyelash. Concierge and dining staff were top notch. New Year's Eve celebrated Vienna style on our balcony and the terrace at the Albertina is...

It is difficult to say something new about this hotel, I was trying to find a good word to describe how wonderful this hotel is, and it is difficult. We have been to the Sacher before (here and the one in Salzburg) and they manage to be consistently fantastic. The renovation carried a few years ago was truly successful, they...

On the 7th of January in the afternoon, some friends and I wanted to have a look at your hotel lobby. Since I am a local I wanted to show them your hotel because it has a long history in Vienna. While entering the hotel the porter asked us very rudely if he could probably help us. He didn't even...

We were here to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday. The hotel is really traditional with a tiny check in reception area. The hotel organised a charming mercedes pick up at a reasonable cost, and we were upgraded on arrival due to our celebration. The hotel is immaculate, the communal hallways spotless, and every feature of our room absolutely perfect. It...

This hotel has a first rate reputation which it maintains with excellent standards. Staff are extremely good and the rooms and facilities are of high quality, though it has to be said that the bed was not comfortable enough and should be improved as for the money being paid it is essential to get a good night's sleep. The breakfast...

We stayed at the Hotel Sacher for 5 nights leaving on Christmas day. The hotel itself is beautiful. It's like a little jewel box with sumptuous public rooms. The blue bar was my favorite as it was decorated all in deep blue velvets with cozy love seats and dark wood. The only problem was that at times I was not...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
