A wonderful historic hotel across the street from the Royal Opera House. It is a true representative of Vienna with it's elegance and atmosphere. Home of the famous Sacher Torte. Expensive but worth every penny.

Splurged on this historic hotel in the middle of everything in central Vienna. It was much smaller and cozier than expected (from photos I expected a grand salon or huge lobby) and just full of old world European charm and decor. The room was so engaging and the modern touches combined with traditional were heavenly - for example, in the...

Classy, with original history that shows in every corner. Perhaps the finest hotel in Vienna. Classic deco, wonderful rooms, classy cafe, 2 fine restaurants. Top breakfast in an all white restaurant. Centrally located opposite the Opera.

We did not stay here but had dinner in a private room to celebrate a friend's birthday. From the moment you step into the lobby, you are transported to another world. Everything is so beautiful and luxurious. The dinner was excellent - good food, fine wines and charming, attentive service. A wonderful place for a special celebration.

We absolutely enjoyed this hotel, it has one of the best locations in Vienna. The breakfast was delicious and you could always drink a real Wiener Kaffe in the lobby. The area is very safe and you are in the very middle of the city center, 5 minutes walk from almost any attractions.

All of they are very kind, always wanting to help us.The decoration, top austrian characteristic, must be visited.

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
