I stayed here thankfully one night. It was easy to find and about a two minute walk from Wien Mitte station, with access to the CAT train and S7 line to access Vienna Airport. I had a very early flight and needed to get public transport to Airport. I didn't have breakfast because I left before it was served. I... More

In our room smells smoke of cigarettes. I can't sleep .We don't have a safe place for personal things. The bathroom is too small. It's too expensive for this inconvenience. The connection for Internet is bad.

The hotel is in the city center next to a park. It's clean. The rooms are well equipped and bright. The breakfast was same every day and there is not big variety. The service was good, people are polite and friendly.

Located at Liinke Bahnzeile 1a, the "Hotel Goldene Spinne" has an unbeatable location for someone who need efficient transportation connection. It is only a three-minute distance on foot from one of Vienna's major transportation hubs, the "Wien Mitte" stations, the hub for two trains serving the international airport--the regional Schnellbahn S7 line and the special "CAT" train, which goes directly... Stayed here because I needed to have the first train to the airport. Next time I'll just take the first subway to the train station. This hotel is such a dump! Very small room, hallways that smell of smoke and over all the hotel does certainly not give the impression to be clean. This is one of those hotels where... More

It's not expensive but the room is good 7/10, the bathroom is 9/10 (spa). It didn't have a bar fridge and no aircon that I remember (so marked down there) but the staff were nice, it didn't smell of smoke like the reviews made out. The cleaning staff were attentive (they put extra pillows in our room without even us... More

Was attending a conference at the far more expensive Vienna Hilton - about 2 mins walk away. I only had a single room which was pretty basic - not much more than 2 beds width and no desk, but everything seemed to work ok and clean - even the wifi internet. As I wasn't spending much time in room adequate... More

I look for a hotel with good levels of comfort and privacy, that's inexpensive, centrally located and possibly with free breakfast and Wi-Fi. included. The Golden Spinne has all these and more. Breakfast was plentiful, generous and ran from 6.30 to 10. My room was basic but clean and comfy. The staff were typically Viennese in the clam and efficient... More

I have stayed there my second time now and have to say nothing has changed. The hotel is located in an building from 1950's. It is a little bit outdated but very clean. The rooms are very different but comfortable for 1 or 2 nights. The breakfast buffet is small but good. Everyone can find something you eat. Coffee is... More

The hotel is just next to both train and metro station, very easier for traveller to move around. Lots of restaurants near to the hotel. Hundertwasserhaus is only 15 mins walk from the hotel. Free coffee for whole day is a bonus. Staff is also very helpful in providing travel information. Breakfast does not have a lot of variety, but... More
