Stayed here for two nights and was very impressed. Rooms are massive with plenty of space and all the mod cons you would expect TV, tea making, safe, accessories etc. Hotel was clean. The best aspect of the hotel is its location. It is very centrally located right beside the karlplatz u-bahn station. Vienna is a lovely city and would... More

We were due to stay in this hotel for New Year, we paid for the hotel last February and got a good deal by booking early. Unfortunately, we had to cancel in October because the friend we were due to travel with was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We emailed the hotel to inform them, their T & C's state there... More

did I mention great location? :) 1-3 mins walking to the city's biggest market, opera, musem quarter, Hofburg,... and one of the Klimt paintings, my darling's favourite, just accross the street - in Secession house! parking is not cheap (21/day), but reasonable for the location - we got parking in the garage accross the street because the hotel's garage was... No frills hotel with comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, good breakfast. The greatest plus is the location. Practically next to Opera with all the means of transport readily available. Within walking distance to Stephanplatz, the museumsquartier and the main shopping centre of the city. Yes I would stay here again!

The hotel is very well located and convenient, however I find that the furbishing of rooms, which are really ample, is poor. The bathroom, a small shower-cabin, in my room is not upto a 4-star category hotel.

Hotel location is in the real city centre, every this was OK, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Internet is free and available in all areas of hotel. If you want quiet room - I recommend you to take rooms with windows to the courtyard - you will not hear the noise of cars motion. The main shopping... More

Very much enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean with a pleasant bar area (which given the rain we took full advantage of). Rooms are a decent size with plenty of storage. Surrounds were quiet. Beds are comfortable and we slept very well. Bathroom is fully equipped although a combination of a... More

We loved the stay. Excellent large room with a hydro. We recommend. The location is excellent with a subway close and a market with lot diversity of restaurants and food. Your family will love the place around with some parks.

This hotel definitely lives up to its 4 stars. The staff is remarkably professional and helping. The hotel is well located, clean, big. Rooms are big as well as bathrooms. Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
