Stayed for 3 nights in a private hostel room. It was on level 4 and got super hot but the window opened to let in some air (no airconditioning). Breakfast is good value for €7 and there is enough space in the communal areas to not feel crowded. wifi wasn't very reliable. Room was clean and serviced daily. It's about...

The hotel itself is not bad. The the staff is friendly and the breakfast is adequate. We booked a Double room and the room was so small that we couldn't move around the bed without some effort. And since it's a hotel/hostel combination there is bound to be some noise but that was to be expected.

Stayed for one night only, double room. Location is not really all that, but it is a good hotel (hostel) for one night to stay. Room was small, clean and evwrything was working. Bed was not to comfortable, but for one night is just ok. U-bahn is near (Taliastrasse) and great small bars. Lugner shopping center is 2 min walk...

I have been visiting Vienna for the first time. The city was amazing, A&O Stadhalle was amazing and I am defenitely coming back. Clean, Nice and comfort rooms. I had a good sleep. All was clean&pure. The breakfast was very delicious. The staff was friendly. The traffic is good. Non-smoking rooms;) A szoba pici, de kényelmesen berendezett. A fürdőszoba, a wc és a törölközők is tiszták. Ingyenes wifi elérhető a szobában. Közel a metró.

The 6-bed dorm I've stayed in was very spacious, I'm not sure if this is the case in all of the rooms. Bathroom was separated from shower, so it's easier if there are 6 people in the room at the same time. Breakfast was really nice, also healthy stuff available and it's an all you can eat buffet, so if...

Booking in went smoothly. We had ordered 2 single rooms, I was travelling with my sister, and when we saw them we were both so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were incredibly clean, white bedding added to the look of cleanliness. The rooms were small, but that was to be expected. There was en suite which was clean and the shower...

More of a hotel but you have to pay extra for sheets. This isn't a hostel for backpackers especially if you are a solo back packer. The washrooms are clean and the rooms are clean as well. A little distants from city centre but next to underground.

I go to Vienna very often and have been to this hostel a few times. I always book a single room. I really like that you can cancel the booking up to 6 pm on the day of arrival, for me that's one of the most important things since my schedule tends to change a lot, and that's why I...

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
