Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, the atmosphere is queite and front desk is open 24h. No extra confort proposed. Very close to the center of the city and nightlife bars/clubs. This is a good place to save money. Great for young and party people who want to discover a beautiful European city.

Rooms are basic, but pretty good for the price. Reasonable choice for breakfast and always well stocked. Wired internet only in room, can borrow cable for ?10 deposit. It is within walking distance of museums and sights of vienna and plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants close by. Really great area of vienna!! Would stay here again.

This hotel derives the majority of its income as a student dormitory throughout the year, so hotel guests are a mere necessary nuisance. imagine the most basic dormitory room you can think of, and this accurately describes the rooms. They are all the same. They are beyond Spartan, but clean. The rooms have a small safe and the closets have...

I visited Kolping in the beginning of December in 2012. This place gives a great value for your money, its close to the central, it takes you less than 10 min to get into the opera/shopping street/museumquartier. The room was nice and clean, nothing special, a bit dull, however, we werent there for the luxury. Breakfast was ok, no service,...

If you don't need hair dryer, big mirror, carpet on the floor and air condition, this hotel is otherwise very good. I stayed in November and didn't need any of this things. As a solo traveler I was given a double room pretty big enough even for two people. My room was oriented toward courtyard and was very quiet. It...

We spend with a group (of 9) 3 nights in Kolping Vienna. It's clean, quite, and has all you need for an exchange-bussiness trip. No luxuary but good value for the price. There is plenty of space in the room, the bathroom has everything you need.

The rooms are large very basic. Any other hotel would have refreshed them by now but the low nightly rates have to come from somewhere :-). Staff are friendly but could be a bit more attentive. The location is not bad. It is on shopping street with a supermarket next door and the lovely Naschmarkt just round the corner.

We stayed for one night in Kolpinghaus. Breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and helpful. room (we ordered an advanced room) wasn't large but pretty cozy. Overall: Room was small clean and fairly well appointed. I could not get any sleep due to the traffic noise and overwhelming smell of car exhaust. Good: rooms are small with lots of storage area. The rooms are very clean. The breakfasts although adequate in terms of supply, was very limited in choice. Bad: When I first arrived they insisted...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
