You are lucky if you get a room what has a garden view. That will mean you will able to sleep. The rooms facing the street won't allow you sleep! The noise from traffic (taxi and drunken drivers who make party snd loud music in the car) during the night is annoying! The windows what face the street were dirty... More

The parking is around the back, open and unsecured. As a 60ish couple we prefer better neighbourhoods for walking home after dark. Walking home one evening the streets were deserted, businesses run down and area seedy. The breakfast was too expensive so we took the bus into Salzburg to eat. We both walked into town and used the bus but... More

Even if it's not a 4-star hotel, (I''ll rate it as a 3-star), it's a good place to stay when visit Salzburg. It's not in a central location, but it's not far from the city center and there is a good public transportation system. It's very close to train station and just outside the hotel you can take the bus... More

The desk and housekeeping people were very friendly and responsive. I found the room spacious and spotless, with large bathroom and good shower. Bed was also comfy. The location is just great, a block from beautiful riverfront walk to old town, bus stops a block away, train station 10 minute walk, and fine restaurants within a block... Italian next door... I cannot agree with those that say this is "out of the way". It is right a major bus route that will take you all over the city including the Old Town area. It is a block from the river where there is an excellent designated pedestrian zone the full length of the river, which was a magnificently refreshing walk.... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. The first day we got here there's a heavy rain so we decided to take a cab which cost us around 5.70 euro so we didnt have a hard time finding the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful but speak a little english. Getting into the town by walking is super far about 20-25... More

I stayed at the Belmondo hotel one night, and was glad of it! The hotel is old, in my room the window lock box was broken and the window was absolutely filthy. Downstairs was a strong traffic and noise. I could hardly put inside the broken parts of the window lock box and the window was thankfully closed. Bedding was... More

We only stayed one night, and had no real idea what there was to see or do in Salzburg, and we were on our way between other destinations where we were staying longer - so were happy to jag a very well priced room close to the train station (as this was our transport out). It's a bit of an... More

Was a tad worried after reading reviews here, but the hotel was good - asked for courtyard room, still a little noisy but ok. Declined breakfast, but he offered it to us at a lower price so get the feeling you could haggle. Great location (10 mins walk into the city), clean room, friendly staff. Couldn't get tv to work,... Hotel Belmondo is a modern, clean hotel that offers great value for money. It is in a good location only a pleasant 10 minute stroll along the river to the centre of this charming city. Rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel is in a quiet location offering a peaceful and comfy nights sleep. We would recommend this hotel... More
