So I went to a Catholic college that is of the Benedictine order, and as soon as I discovered Haus St. Benedikt I know I had to stay here. My reasoning for staying here was twofold: 1) I hope that my money went towards the monks and the work that they do and 2) This was such a unique place...

I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. The location is perfect, only minutes away from the main shopping areas and yet secluded and quiet. The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious and warm. Breakfast was very generous and there is all day access to tea, coffee etc. All the staff were most helpful. I hope to go back next...

This is a very unique place to stay. Sadly no trainee monks were there during our stay. You could not get a better location. Right in the centre of town, next to the castle and part of St Peter's Abbey complex. You should go to the very old small bakery near to St Peters. There is a water mill outside.

Haus St. Benedikt is located in the heart of old Salzburg, just minutes from the DOM, Fortress, the Salzburg museum, Nonnberg Abby and nearly any other place a tourist wants to see in Salzburg. The entire facility has been updated and modernized. The rooms are very nice and large. Everything is new, plumbing, fixtures, beds, shower, lighting, etc. There is a...

As an experienced traveler, every so often I find a place on my travels that leaves a lasting impression - Haus St. Benedikt is one of those places. How every travel book hasn't published on this place is beyond me. First, the view is amazing! From my room on the third floor, I had view of St. Peter's Cathedral Dome...

We were met at the door and checked in quickly. This is a retreat house and it is very quiet and peaceful. A great place to get away from the other tourists in Salzburg. The room was a nice size with a sitting area and a large bathroom. Our room overlooked the courtyard. I liked the location the best. It...

Haus St. Benedikt provides a simple, comfortable and clean base in an ideal location for exploring the old town of Salzburg. The newly refurbished rooms are spacious, and spotlessly clean and breakfast options are plentiful and fresh. If you need wi-fi, tea & coffee making facilities in your room, a bar, a television or trouser press then this isn't the...

The Haus St. Benedikt is in the heart of the city at the foot of the castle. This is the perfect place to stay while wandering the beautiful classic city of Salzburg. The breakfast is huge and delicious! Both Clemens and Emina were so helpful it seemed as if we had been friends since childhood! I hope we can visit...

The accommodations were awesome!!! The breakfasts were delicious (shared it with the resident monks and other guests), and the bells of Salzburg were my alarm clock. My room had a view of the castle. I could easily walk to all the major sights. The Abbey of St. Peter is adjacent to the plaza where this religious dorm is in. Inside...
