Really lovely stay here. Quaint, country style room, ours with a four poster bed and breathtaking views. The whole guesthouse is so thoughtfully furnished and the owners are welcoming and cheerful. I would add from other previous reviews that they now have Internet. Breakfast is plentiful and city centre is easily reached by bus and the airport a ten minute...

My brother recommend this guesthouse in Salzburg since he stayed there 20 years ago. Since I wanted to stay in a more country house in Austria, this was the perfect fit. Plus it is only a few miles from the Old town of Salzburg. When we arrived, we were greeted by Norbert who enthusiastically showed us around and suggested a...

This hotel is on the edge of Salzburg. It is well off the street and overlooking fields so about as quiet as you can get. We used it as a base for a few days and found it convenient to access the area. It's on a bus line so we avoided the price and hassle of parking by taking the...

This review is a little late...was there in April 2013. Great for those with a young family. My Kids (5 and 8) loved the duck pond. Breakfast room was amazing...hosts couldn't speak much english but they made up for it in terms of hospitality. Nice walks around the farm areas.

Very friendly and accommodating innkeepers. Good location outside of the city for exploring the area, and getting to – from Salzburg. The rooms were very nice and large. The grounds are pretty and well kept (great views from balcony). The only cons: There is a surcharge for using a credit card; and no WiFi available

The owners Norbert and Renate are really kind, warm and genuine; they made us feel very welcome and at home! Even though they can only speak a little English and we can only speak minimal German, we managed to communicate! The place is ~15min bus ride from the center of town, and 2 mins walk in from the bus stop,...

My daughter and I loved our stay at the beautiful Steinerhof! Norbert and his family were all so friendly and helpful. The don't speak a lot of English but they work hard to please the guests. We enjoyed being away from the crowds and surrounded by the peaceful countryside. The yard is beautiful with sitting areas and a little pond....

Stayed here in may..we were a family with kids...the place is done up very nicely ..problems started just after check in when the owners wife came up to our rooms and stated that no food can be had in the rooms! since we were with small kids it was a silly request...also the hotel is far away from the city...

Our fourth stay over eight years, what more can we say; Norbert and Renate are perfect hosts. It is an exceptional home with beautiful gardens and the views from our bedroom were wonderful - mountains and flowers. The location is quiet, with a bus taking you to Salzburg in 15 minutes. We enjoyed a typical hearty Austrian breakfast - yoghurt,...

We spent two night in this old and charming place in September 2012. Norbert, the owner, is a very pleasant gentleman, friendly and hospitable. The hotel is an old farm typical of the region. The rooms are not fancy, but they are well kept and clean. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is good.
